I used to be wool producer, that is I ran sheep for their wool in Australia but now I'm semi retired with a small farm to look after. I've finally retired my beaten up old Spotmatics & now have a Pentax *istD (silly name) digital which has given me new freedom. You won't find me doing sycophantic crits on the popular images but instead I like to crit images where I feel I can say something useful & images that haven't received a lot of attention.
I need to update this as I now live on a small farm near Nimbin on the north coast of New South Wales (Australia) & run about 30 cows on it. This, for a boy from the arid zone of Australia, is a quite a contrast as I now live in an area that contains rain forest (but there isn't any of that on my farm). Quite a contrast too is the 100 acre farm as Ithe original family owned sheep station I ran was 235,000 acres. My wife & I then moved to a higher rainfall area (680mm v 230mm on the station) where we had a 2,800 acre farm.
As a matter of courtesy I try to return all crits I receive.
