My name is Mike Savad. I live in New Jersey (USA). I've always been interested in photography. I started with cheap Kodak's, went on to snap camera's like Pentax IQzoom70, then the IQzoom160, later I went to digital. Canon powershot pro90 was the first digital. Then the Canon s400, for everyday shots. Now I have the Fuji 30 for the just in case shots (I don't expect to get anything awesome from it, it's a snap camera, nothing more). Then I got the 10d, had it for a year, dropped it on it's mirror, broke it. After reading about the 20d, I got that, I'll repair the 10d, and use it as a spare.
For the Mike fans out there, my other hobbies include: Stained glass (over 25 years), Photo editing (kind of goes hand in hand), I built my last two computer, and I'm teaching myself Japanese.
I've been in Photosig for quite some time. I'll always tell you like it is. I don't like tip-toeing around the subject. If you get a critique of mine, it will be blunt, but straight to the point. If I give a red, it doesn't mean I'm having a bad day. If I'm having a bad day I simply don't critique. As it's harder for me to learn if I have stress.
I can also be found on ARTSIG. Where you can see my stained glass and digital art. I don't post much there, as I don't make things that quickly. Real art takes time.
