My nature photographs are inspired by my love for impressionistic art. I love the beauty of nature, a stormy sky, the flow of rivers, trees/foliage, and particularly waterfalls. I love to capture something that goes a beyond what you see towards what you "feel"--like your memory of what impacted you in a scene. Shooting mainly in the golden hour or under soft light, use of perspective, long exposures to show the passage of time, and even camera motion are some of the tools I use to capture the "feeling" of nature. I mainly display my canvas prints in shows, because they enhance this slight abstraction of the scene, sometimes making them feel like paintings.
