I was born in 1965. I live in Montréal, Canada, area. I'm a journalist (mostly science journalism) since 1993, and I sometimes take pictures for my work. Lots of them have been published, but not all of them were very good, alas!
I got more serious about photography in late 1997, when I received an old Pentax Spotmatic as a gift. It's old and obsolete, but it's robust and fully manual, a great way to learn. I now own four Spot bodies. They're cheap and you can get good optics for next to nothing. I have a Rollei 35 and a Zeiss Ikon as well.
