I'm a photographer based out of NYC, where I share a studio with two other photographers.
I only picked up a camera up for the first time a year ago, after having spent the bulk of my professional career in magazine publishing and the Internet (the latter since '95). When I became an Internet 'refugee' in 2001 I was looking for something to keep me occupied while I found a new job. I turned to photography. It became a wonderful diversion (obsession) and now, to my great surprise and delight, career.
I set up in my shared studio full time in May 2002.
I am entirely self-taught. I started my shooting on digital. I am now the proud owner of an Imacon Ixpress 96 Digital back - one of the very first in the USA. I shoot it with my Rollei 6008i.
I shoot mainly portraits and fashion - working with a variety of clients, including MotorbrandsUSA, London Denim, Triangle Lingerie and Klaus Steilmann GmbH.
The Internet has been my home for the last seven years and when I took to photography I found it to a highly supportive medium through various forums and user-groups. I thoroughly encourage and support sites like this as they provide a great help, support and community to photographers, both amateur and professional.
