Sorry I haven't posted anything for critique yet. I'm still recovering from a long illness and haven't been able to do any photography for many months. I really miss it, but I'm on the mend now and it should only be a few weeks before I'm up and about again. I'll update this profile when I post the first photo.

In the meantime I'm spending a lot of time on this site going through the archives and learning so much from looking carefully at how others have achieved their effects (there are so many real treasures amongst past submissions), and from reading past critiques. It's great to finally find a place where really constructive advice and honest opinions are given.

I'm also learning from giving critiques, though I can't offer much technical advice as yet as I'm still learning that side of things. My background is in other 2D visual arts so I tend to critique a photograph as I would a painting since I find so many parallels between the two art forms.

Update: 14th May 2012 I've had an unexpected setback, but will return as soon as I've recovered and have some photos to post. Will be learning from, and enjoying the site from afar until then.
