I'm a professional Photographer and Graphic Artist with formal training from George Brown College and Ryerson University. I believe that a photo speaks more then a thousand words and and gives the composer a freedom to express their inner most feelings of the subject at hand. I have been shooting film for over 15 years and started to shoot digital over the last 8 years. I still feel that nothing compares to film, especially in a black & white composition, which is why I still shoot film for the more artistic projects that aren't on a serious deadline. I mainly use a Nikon D7000 and F100 but I have also been known to use my Mamiya 645 S1000 medium format, as well as various vintage Polaroid, Olympus and Pentax cameras. All of my training was originally based in film and darkroom techniques, with a graphic design background and recently a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Ryerson University. I never shoot carelessly, even while using digital. That was a simple principal I was taught from my film days, and I find it helps create more stunning images by studying your surrounding and waiting for right moment. I'm also an avid collector of photographic equipment, with cameras dating from pre-1900s to current models. Every camera I purchase works and I have been known to use them in different situations.
