I retired from the United States Air Force October of 1993 and opened Lott's Photo Studio, the only full service professional photography studio located within Bossier City, Louisiana.
Recently I started Teaching adavanced photography courses
at Bossier Parish Community college (BPCC) and I love it.
Early photographic experience includes, shooting for the Merced Sun Star, Merced, California and the West Texas Chamber of Commerce, Abilene, Texas. Very comfortable shooting in Industrial Environments as well as just about any where else.
Air Force experience with travel abroad has given me a the ability to communicate with people from differing backgrounds in a calm, cool manner even during their most stressful moments (exactly why we are so good at working with brides and their parents during weddings) and the experience of management during Desert Storm and Desert Shield (Gulf War), underlines our crisis management ability.
I like portraits which express a subject's personality.
We all do way too many "Mug Shots"
We are the official photographer for the largest Mardi Gras Krewe in North West Louisiana, the Krewe of Centaur. (from 1994 to 1999) and again for years 2001/2002/2003
It's positive attitude that really sets us apart from the rest, one of my favorite quotes;
"Keep the Dream alive, protect the dream and you will become a life long friend" by Stephen Thetford CPP
Proudest achievements, early graduation from high school, to join the United States Air Force, marriage to his bride Gail Miller, serving my country during war (Desert Storm/Shield and Southern Watch), and coming home for retirement from the Air Force in October 1993 to open Lott's Photo Studio.
The hanging of my print of "The Last Strategic Air Command Instructors & Staff Barksdale AFB, LA" in the Museum of the Strategic Air Command, Offute AFB, NE.
I have written "Pro Tips for Photographers"
