In late 2003, I decided to get back into photography, not long after Nikon released the affordable D100. I had been a very active nature photographer for many years, but had taken a few years away from the hobby while I started my business. The D100 really drew me in, and I soon upgraded to the D2H and started buying long glass to photograph birds. In the spring of 2005, in a move to get image stabilization and full-frame, I switched over to Canon, and now shoot with a 1Ds Mark II with a 5D as a secondary camera. I also use a 1D Mark IIN for action photography and have a 20Da that I use for astrophotography.
My work now focuses on birds and astrophotography, but I intend to go back into my original passion, wildflower photography. I am also experimenting with landscapes, architectural, and portrait photography. Digital has re-energized me--it's much easier to be creative when you can see the results immediately and change what you are doing.
