Photography to me is "Transforming light into expressions of emotions". Let me introduce myself...
Hi! I'm Suchit Nanda from Mumbai (Bombay), India and currently using the Nikon D800 and Nikon D300. Earlier to this, I was using the Nikon D200 and Nikon D70 with its Nikkor lens 18-70mm AF-S DX f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED zoom. I use a number of the lens including the following: Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8, Nikkor 18-200 VRII, Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED VR, Nikon AF 50 mm f/1.4 D, Tokina AT-X 12-24mm f/4, and earlier had the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX Macro lens. I also use the Nikon SB-800 and Sigma EF 500 DG Super Flash. I use the Gitzo G2228 Explorer Carbon Fiber tripod.
Travel is a passion and I've been to many places (in no particular order) such as: USA, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, UAE, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos PDR, Mongolia, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Australia and of course parts of my home country India.
Before my Nikon DSLRs, I used from Jan'2004 to Apr'2004 the Panasonic FZ-10K 4 MP with the superb 12x optical zoom.
Earlier to the FZ-10 I had the Canon PowerShot S40 but unfortunately it fell for a brief moment into a small puddle of sea water in a boat off Andaman & Nicobar Islands (India) and got ruined. :(
Before the S40, I've used the Canon PowerShot S300 , and the Kodak DC125 compact which had awesome resolution of 1 MegaPixel images! :)
I stopped shooting film once I went digital in 2000 although I still have my Minolta Dynax 500si Super (Euro name) [Maxxum 500si (US Name)]which taught me about lenses, filters, etc. Photography is a passion but with the high investments involved, I'm glad that through image sales, reproduction permissions and other contracts I'm able to recover my investments and built up for future equipment. I would be happy to entertain any queries which could be mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
