Hello

My wave and some of my surfing photography is about seeing things that might not be able to see due to physical limitations. I enjoy using slow shutter speeds which create movement and blur that we might not otherwise see with our own natural eyesight because we can't control the "shutter speed" of our own sight. My style, for good or bad, will affect how I critique. I tend to enjoy the photos that are unique in angle, view, light or subject.

I am trying more traditional landscape photography as I find that challenging and frustrating.

Please, don't critique me because you feel you "owe " it to me or want something in return, but critique my photos if you have a question, a suggestion, or just want to analyze and think about my style.

I am here to make friendships with serious photographers, not to make friends to give each other points.

I subscribe to the guideline that a member should write three critiques for each submission. I hold myself to a higher standard and I wish those members who are popular would do the same. I try to write a critique for every critique I get before submitting my next photo. If my photograph is popular and gets lots of critiques, then I have to write more critiques before my next upload. I won't necessarily return a critique, especially if that members is already getting a lot of critiques. I am not interested in creating a clique of members to write critiques for each other over and over again. That doesn't help my photography grow, and I probably can't help the other members of the clique's photography grow either after so many exchanges of critiques. We should all be looking to get new thoughts and influences from the many members on this site, not from the same people over and over again.

It is pretty simple.... if you aren't getting three critiques per photo, then you should be writing more critiques to help you learn. If you are getting more than 3 critiques per photo, then you probably know what you are doing and should be writing as many critiques as you get to help others.
