Very nice image. You have used the golden section proportions quite nicely in your composition. I really like the feeling of solitude that this image portrays, as it does so without the impression of lonliness. I think the brilliant sky makes this possible.
With a little editing, or perhaps even conversion to B&W you could completely change the tone of this image to one of desolation (though I prefer it the way it is). Such diversity in your photograph shows the...

This is a very nice image! The use of light, and the way it trails off as the eye goes deeper into the shot adds realy depth to the photograph.
I really like the left to right, bottom to top movement in this composition. Starting with the left-most camera brace, mocing the eye to the focal point (the lens area), and continuing to the top right corner through the squiggles of the camera's bellows. This movement is reinforced by the right camera brace.
Very nice...

Your flash fill did a good job in this image, it can be very hard to capture vehicles at car shows due to the dramatic lighting and overall darkness of the venue.
I could suggest trying to shoot from a slightly higher elevation (if possible) or shooting through the sections of the guard-rail to exclude it from the shot. This gives the viewer a more intimate feeling with the object; like they have an exclusive pass to get beyone the railing. That is truly nit-picking...

Really a beautiful shot. I followed it here from the STF, glad I took the time. I really like how crisp the details are in your image. The droplets of water on the dock glistening in the sun add a very nice textural element; a good contrast to the mirror lake and fog.
Keep posting shots like this! :)

Nice image, fireworks can be very hard to capture, but you managed to freeze the action (hard to do in low light).
I would reccomend cropping out some/all of the negative space to the right of the burst. Perhaps a tight "square" crop would add impact to the image.
Keep up the good work, lets see some more pics! :)

Nice shot. I like the toning, but feel some color might add a little needed interest in this image. Though the cliffs are quite nice, there doesn't seem to be any one place that my eye is drawn to except perhaps for what looks like a man standing at the top of the leedge.
A also agree about perhaps showing the cliff reflections in the water. Perhaps framing this in portrait would have yeiled both the beautiful cliffs, and the water.
Nice crisp focus though, and...

Very nice image, though I can't bring myself to give it 3TU. The problem is, I'm not sure why. I like the composition, but I suppose I wish I was looking more "into" the flowers, rather than at the back of them.
I do find the colored drop shadow of the frame a bit distracting from the image, but that's a preference thing and I'm not considering it in my evaluation.
The only other thing that I think could be improved is the framing. The bottom of the branch...

Nice abstract image, you should have catagorized it as such. I like that you managed to capture a great deal of the detail in the rusting metal. The color is also fantastic! There does seem to be something lacking in the composition, but I can't put my finger on it (I know, that's not a lot of help). It may be something as simple as the fact that abstraction just insn't "my thing".
Regardless, it is a very nice image, well executed. It reminds me, very much, of a...

This works quite well as a snapshot, though I question if it fits into the decisive moment catagory, something that others might ding you for. Based soley on the merits of the photograph, I'm giving it a single TU for it being somewhat soft, and a bit overexposed.
OTOH, I love planes and have always wanted to take a course in piloting. Keep a camera with you up there and keep posting pics. I'll be looking forward to seeing more images from up-high! :)

He doesn't look like Garfield! ;)
Actaully a nice moment captured here. I really like the attentiveness on his face, looks like he is tracking something. I do think the image is a bit too soft though, not blurry, but not in sharp focus. The color in the shot is very nice though, and the exposure looks to be spot on.
Cats are suck great models, they are generally very patient with being photograhed. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your shots. Nice work.

I agree with the others about the exposure, though I really like this shot. It does capture a somber mood, only with a warmth to the light that is unusual.
I would consider framing this with a black border instead of the gold color you have chosen as it might add weight to the overall mood of the image. Very nicely done photograph however, keep up the good work!

Sergej, This is probably my favorite of all your shots. The flower is nice and crisp, and the branches in the vase reach out to the corners of the frame. Very nice!
If I were to reccomend one thing for you (and it applies to most off your images), get rid of the frame that fades into the image. If you want to add a frame make a slightly larger background layer and build your frame outside the actual image. The way it sits now the frame overlaps part of the image...

The color is indeed quite nice, however, as this is a critique site I will offer the following.
The image is very jagged (especially noticeable around the vase). It looks as though the image was much smaller and it has been resized drastically. There are also a couple spots along the left side of the vase where it looks like the eraser brush cut too close in Photoshop and took part of the vase with it.
Additionally, the flower seems to lack sharpness. This would...

I really have to say that for the vintage of the photographs, the entire series is really great. There simply don't seem to be too many images from the early days of motocross. Just seeing images like this makes me wantto pop in my "On Any Sunday" DVD (I wore out the tape).
Keep posting these shots, and I wouldn't worry about the dirt clump above his head, the way I se it, that's the way the track was! This isn't a portrait, it's an action shot of a bygone track,...

Hey Ralph, I agree with the others about the overexposed issue, but it is a great action shot. I'm not sure what you have to work with, just a scan of the original print, or the develed negative, but you may be able to fix the exposure in Photoshop using the dodge and burn tools.
Nice shot, keep them coming! :)
