Wow, this is outstanding... perfectly composed, a lovely handling of the tones and colors, and just crisp enough to tell us about the weathered wood, the stubble of the mown field. Kudos.

Wow, very fine! I like the fact that you took advantage of the large 'field' of the cliffs from your distance and put only them in the picture (no blue sky, or cottonwood trees in the river valley below, etc.). It acknowledges and exploits the visually beautiful geometric abstraction of Bryce's geology. I agree with the other critic who notes that the upper part of the photo is a bit over-exposed to the left; if you'd been able to meter off that area, you might have got...

Great! The backdrop is very effective, and the overall effect is of incandescence, as though it is a fountain of fire. I'd quibble with the gradient of light from L to R (maybe the lefthand light source could have been positioned higher to fill the bowl with light whilst keeping its pedestal dark on the right), and maybe it could be sharpened up with USM, but overall a well thought out photo!

And why not another blasted FW photo? Especially when its as good as this! Thanks for sharing your settings, too, I'll file that away for next year, and get set with my tripod! The crop is a bit tight on the left, and I might have cloned out the stars, but the one is probably a function of where you were standing and the length of your lens (i.e. not techique) and the second is an aesthetic call, so no reason not to consider this 3tu!

Suberb! The pin-sharpness of the geranium flower is set off wonderfully by the misty, out-of-focus background. A narrow dof supplied the selective focus... how did you get the mist? Was it nature, i.e. a foggy morning? Or some dry ice near the flower? In any case, a tasteful photo, nothing to fault... good frame too!

Lovely, a very well composed and executed waterfall photo! The silkiness is just right... I'll remember 1/4 second... the eddy behind the rock is particularly attractive. Don't know if you've got a hot pixel in the lower righthand corner...

Trippy infrared photo! I like its impromptu-ness. It could be level, though, since you obviously used a tripod. And it'd be nice to know your shutter speed.

A lovely piece of geology-- the colors of the rock are good. A tighter crop, to eliminate the shadowed area on the right and the trees below, would increase the visual interest. And consider using a polarizer to get more blue saturation in the sky-- I can't do without one any more!

Magnificent-- this photo has an amazing depth to it, a third dimension on my 2D monitor. Not to mention a lyrically beautiful image... magical indeed, and I can credit it with hosting a vodnik!

Excellent-- simple, and simply powerful. The open space at the bottom gives the figures a feeling of isolation, almost desperation (To Build A Fire). The sunflares near the figures are unfortunate otherwise this'd be 3TU!

Lovely subject, and a fine effect of the natural light on the sky, sea, sand, and stones. The focus seems a bit soft throughout the focal range... camera shake? Also, you might consider cropping the bottom 5% or so, to the base of the rocky bit. For the rest, a very satisfying image!

Very nice, excellent in fact. The backlighting of the grass inflorescences turns these "weeds" into visual gems. The narrow dof and the tones are good too. The one thing that would make this great, for me, would have been to change the perspective just a bit to the left, so the "main" grass flower wouldn't be cutting through the prominent stem behind it. Of course, thats a quibble, as its hard to see that thru the viewfinder or on the LCD... for the rest, good eye!

This is a wonderful photo-- beautifully composed, and of a marvelous subject under ideal conditions for the mood you've created. Two critical comments: first, to clean up what might have been dust on the negative, or a sea bird (far left under the span, and to the right of the tower). And second, to convert it to greyscale! The greens of the vegetation and the residual tones in the concrete and fog diminish the overall impact-- as shades of grey, or a carefully selected...

Lovely photo and model! The narrow depth of field creates a nice atmosphere, and the industrial setting sets of the chic elegance of the model. The picture has some pretty strong highlights though, which blow out the skin tones (forehead, shoulder, elbow, side) and detract from an otherwise good photo.

You have a marvelously talented eye, and the stamina to hike to that perfect location. This photo should inspire the Slovenian Wine Board (or whatever) to remove those wires and invite you back for another session-- morning or evening to get the low light and so on-- and your photo will adorn New Yorker ads and CNN commercials for wine tours of the country! I think the light of the hour defeated you in taking the perfect picture, but for the rest... nice, very nice!
