Lovely black and white shot. Excellent composition and a pretty model. The only suggestion I would make is to lighten her right gloved arm a bit.

A very nice shot. I would clone out the stem at the top left hand side of the frame as I think it is distracting.

Very fine shot, Abdul. It is not easy to photograph a bird in flight and get a result that is well composed and sharp as is the case here.

The thing about swan photos, Alex, is that they need to be really special to stand out as they have been done to death. This is a very workmanlike photo of a swan but it's just like countless thousands of others (including mine!) that don't grab the viewer and make him/her say "Wow!". Now, if you had a shot of a swan taking off or landing or in flight it could be very interesting indeed. This one unfortunately doesn't make the cut.

An excellent nature study, perfectly sharp and nicely lit. It's hard to see how it could be better so I am awarding it three thumbs up.

Very nice street shot. I like the expression on the girl's face and the string in her mouth lifts it out of the ordinary.

Very fine shot. Being up and about very early in the morning helps to capture such fleeting images. I particularly like the dusting of frost/snow on the hills in the background.

It's unfortunate that the lower footprint intrudes into the frame. Stepping back so as to allow space between it and the bottom of the frame would have resulted in a better photo. Or, you could simply clone it out.

A very nice image - I particularly like the starburst effect of the sunlight. I think it could do with some extra sharpening as it appears somewhat soft overall.

Very fine shot, Jay, and nice subtle use of HDR. I was going to compliment you on the absence of people but then I noticed the two - or, rather, one and a half! - on the right hand side. I would consider cloning them out if I were you.

I would have cropped the image to fill the frame with the Hippo's head. There is too much uninteresting detail in the photo.

Beautiful Fall colors and the mist/fog in the trees makes for a very atmospheric image. I can see why you chose this viewpoint as the rock should have leant the picture some foreground interest. However, I don't think it altogether works here and I agree with Jon that it is too overpowering.

There is a nice interplay of light and shade in this photo and the path in the centre leads the eye into the composition. It seems a little bit too dark and maybe it could do with a slight Levels adjustment. Also, I would like to know where it is.

Very nice, Toni. The sky seems to me to be a bit overdone and so distracts a little from the main subject, the ship.

Nice lighting but a pity about the hat. I can only imagine what it might be like without it but I'm pretty sure it would be a much improved photo.
