i love it. especially because it is not that usual green green water and hard contrast. it looks delicate shine through as if a little white fairy would stand up and strech waking up with a thin little sigh. i think the brown water looks romantic like a forgotten place. so i think all this is three thumbs definately.

liebe erika!
ich finde dein bild wunderschön! obwohl es schwarz weià ist kann man das helle licht sehen, das durch die blätter fällt. ebenso finde ich hast du den bildausschnitt wunderschön gewählt und somit einer gelungene komposition erreicht!
dear erika!
i think your picture is very beautiful. although in black and white one can see bright light falling through the leaves. also i think with the image detail you picked, you succeeded in having a felicitous...

nicely seen guillermo! i even like the noise. it's clear in it's forms. i would have just adjusted another line. to me like this ot looks like the wall is falling over. i would have taken that corner line and made that parralel to the side frame.

this is a picture full of body language i think. although the faces are not visible i can imagine their expression just by the way they move. it's just a pity, that the boy on the right is not sharp. and i agree, that a slight camera movement to the right would have also improved the composition by showing more of the motorcycle that is approaching.

hi martin. this is a very moving picture, as there are two faces with a history. when looking at it i instandly think what difficult times mother and daughter have been through probaly. they are still close. that is ovious.i love the way their skin touches. but there is one thing that is somehow disturbing. the mother's hand. i think you should have seen that and told her to relax her hand and just lay it on the daughters shoulder, to give it a more gentle, protective mood.

hi trent, first i like the idea and the way you processed that scarf into smoke is very nice. but to me the model lookes a bit tensed where i associate smoke with smooth and relaxed. she looks like she has to highly concentrate to hold this position and still look into the camera. maybe if her arms would be in a more open graceful position the picture would win. plus the angle of her leg makes it look a little like she is almost falling backwards. i am sure if the second...

hi ed! i think you captured a nice dynamic move here. the sand, her hair and expression are very well captured. i like the proportions too. the only thing i would do is try to get rid of that yellow part in the left upper corner. if you just tilt it to the right a little bit, the yellow is gone, her head still filly in the picture and as a positive side effect, the lines in the back are parallel to the frame also.

dear charlotte!
i think you have a lovely model here and should try a re shoot with her. this picture has in my eyes a couple of mistakes. first of all, she looks like she is hanging head down with all the blood going straight into her head. so maybe her upper body needs to come higher to avoid that vein on her forhead. you can still have that angle, but you need to change your position for shooting. then you could have draped her hair more nicely. sharpness is also...

hi mike! here she is again! and still lovely! in this picture she has nice eye contact and her smile is just sweet. i like the relaxed position and the proportions of the crop. but i think the background is a little distracting. maybe the angle was not right.

i think the title is very touching! and way she looks at her wrist is scary but doesn't look posed nor overdramatic. it just looks like one picture taken out of a movie. it is true, that the light is not good. she should have more light on her face so the expression is better visible. the crop and the perspective are totally ok for me. maybe you can do this again with better light.

now i got stuck in your portfolio. and since this one didn't get too much attention i will write something to it. i am not a fan of too much processing but this works perfectly. it looks like a renessaince fresco. the ivy fits great to her bright skin tone and redish hair. her expression is awesome too. i think this is a perfect exsample how to use those processing tools in a creative beautiful way.

dear hossein! i don't know why this doesn't get any reaction because i like this picture very much. it creates a great athmosphere. looks like it is already raining out of those dark skies. and the white foam looks very nice against the dark sand. maybe some person walking alone on that dark beach would make it more interesting but still it is a very nice picture. i like the crop as well.

hi greg! probably in real life the reflection looked brighter and the plants in the water where more visible. i have that problem all the time. but i learned that it is always better to go down more to get a better perspective. plus the plants would stand against the blue sky. like this they look rather distracting.
