Stunning photo... The separation of the dog from the bridge is very well done, making it very much the absolute focus and the bridge almost the frame... gotta love that MkIII too... Brill!!

Nice PJ capture Jan. I think what makes this shot is that everything is "smoky" except for the face of the woman, which makes it stand out as the maoin subject. On another note, I would love to be flexible enough squat like that!!

Beautiful capture. I have not seen one of these before. I love the contrast pattern in the feathers. Great eye contact and angular presentation. Excellent! TFS...

Schloss Neuschwanstein from Marion's Bridge. One of the really great manmade vistas. What an amazing place and in fine weather too! The scaffolding is a shame but there is nothing you can do about that (other than travel back when it's complete... now wouldn't that be a tough thing to do?) By the amount of scaffolding, it looks like some major works happening on the front. Nice sky

Great capture and excellent light. You have caught that wistful expression on the girl so well and you can almost feel the tedium of travel but the joy in being together in their boredom. Is this a pure candid or did you know the people? Either way, its really good but if purely candid.. well, just a great street shot...

Great geometry. Excellent and appropriate conversion with high contrast and all the lines disappearing into the deep black hole. Spend way too much time on these flying sardine cans but it's great to see someone using the time so well. Excellent!

Great feel. I like the progression from high contrast through to that misty eerie background. The path, with its lovely curves and slopes, leads you very nicely into the picture. The path is well framed by the two walls. I'm a sucker for winter twigs, mist and mono so you had me with the thumbnail.. Nice shot!

Beautiful sharp capture with a lovely catch in the eye. Nice eye contact and I like the "pose". I think this shot is made even better by the wonderful background... a nice progression through warm to cool colours.. very nice!

You have caught a nice expression on this model with most of the emphasis on those eyes, where is should be. For me, the left and right sides of the image are superfluous and should go... I would make this a portrait crop taking the RHS from the where the arm hits the border and the LHS where the thumb hits (you may need a bit more on the LHS and clone out a bit of thumb(. I would then dodge the eyes a little to bring a bit of colour back from the shadows and do some...

I do love what you have done with the water here. Would like to know how exactly you did it. Obvious long exposure making nice milky areas but there seems to be some really nice and defined "sharp" likes cascading down.. This has made it a most intriguing view. The diagonal flow of water adds a lot to the image. I think adding the surrounds has given the image context and depth. Shame the sky is so flat but "what you gunna do??" Very nice.. Thanks for sharing

I really like the mystical feel of this photo. I actually think this is achieved partially because of the unnatural tones used in the sky. I am never quite sure why people criticise this sort of toning... not all photos are aimed at being perfect replicas of nature and nor should they be.. this tonal range gives a great effect and the backlighting on the tree gives the whole thing a great lift... I think it looks great...

This has a really nice feel to it, achieve mainly by the almost "duotone" nature of the colours.. The warm purples and those subtle blues really work well with each other and it's great that you have not tried to saturate it too much. Very nice depth to the photo too with the distinct FG, MG and BG ... Very nice lighting and framing too...

The movement in the waves and grass is really nice giving some dynamics to the shot. I like the warm FG against the cool BG. The tone and texture of the water is wonderful. I am not so sure about the rock. I agree that there needs to be something in the photo to focus on, but I'm not sure the rock has enough interest to achieve this. It is so starkly "different" than the soft, moving "rest of the picture" that it seems a little out of place, like it's just been dumped...

A nice luminescent feel to to the wave with a dreamy sort of character. I like the tonings and feeling of movement. I just think as a photograph, it is lacking something to lock onto. Perhaps if the whitecap were more pronounced?

An interesting treatment. Not sure that I like it or not, but that's irrelevant. It has certainly accentuated the winter twigs well and made for a feathery feel. I very much like the tones with warm against cold sky. I have no idea what was on either side of the tree, but as it is the only subject matter, I think it's a little closely cropped on both sides, but you may well have reasons for this. I would clean up the little "whateveritis" in the top left corner.
