Hi Evertjan, I like the dramatic light. It's almost monochrome and adds some almost threatening feel to your picture. I agree with the other critiques about the need to sharpen the boat and to place it off-center.

Hi Robert, this is a great photograph! Your composition and dof work very well, so does the light coming from the lamp post (?) which adds a nice tone to the picture. The situation itself is very mundane but you've turned into something almost cinema-like. One suggestion, though: could you add more space to the top of the picture?

Hi Robert, this is very nice indeed! Beautiful light and deep green, you can really sense the approaching nightfall in this picture. The sheep's white adds the finishing touch. I'm with Michal on the idea of cropping out the fence and road, this might increase the peaceful atmosphere even further.

Umit, this simplistic picture caught my eye immediately. You've composed it well. Strong basic colors are not only fitting to the season, they also go together very nicely.

Hi Resias, what a wonderful landscape! The bending forms on the foreground lead one's eye very nicely into the scene. The bright reflections on the sand contrast with the darks in the clouds beautifully. Well done!

Hi Caroline, an action shot indeed and taken precisely at the right moment! Great eye contact with the boy and a real sense of movement. Well done!

Hi Laura, this is a nice still life with some room for improvement. I like the shallow dof, you've also focused the picture correctly. I think, though, that this is not the perfect composition. Perhaps you should place the bird slightly off center horizontally?

A very haunting image! There is strong story somewhere underneath, that story did not surface yet but I'm sure it will. That's one of the strong points about your picture - it doesn't give away everything immediately. Technically it's a very good picture. I like your use of the curtain. It sort of divides your picture into two areas, those of human and modern society.

Hi Jordan, this is an excellent study of shape and motion. I think your choice of using a rather fast shutter speed, thus freezing the cars, works well here.

Hi Peter! I'm so sorry I had missed this wonderful scenery. I've written before on the Sig that a Scottish scene gets 1TU from me any day. You get 2TU for a nicely performed village landscape. I like the way your colors are balanced, with the bright variation of the boats to the calm almost monotone of the buildings.

Hi Sebastian! You've managed to capture snow very well. There's a nice tonal range here and the scenery itself is peaceful. The sky shifts from dark to light beautifully. Well done!

Hi Phil, now this was clearly a take-it-or-forget-it moment, wasn't it? Like most photographic moments with kids are, for that matter... I think you did well. The slightly out-of-focus right hand probably was a result of your need to act to fast. But in this type of a picture that's not really a big handicap, if you ask me. I too find his face to be a bit too bright, otherwise this would have been a 2TU pic.

Hi Francesco, a well photographed scene, that's what this is. I like the use of light here, red dark room light creates a nice feeling. Is she a model going through the day's work? Or perhaps she's the photographer? A very calm, peaceful expression is a great plus.

Hi Ivano, wonderful portrait with great detail and fitting dof. I must confess that when clicking at your thumbnail I thought it was a gentleman with a big cigar :-) Anyway, you were there at the right moment and took a great picture.

This is very interesting, Shohre. I like the shapes of people in the arches, they really add a feel of mystery. I agree about the need of a tripod here, sharpness would really improve this shot. I hope you can reshoot the image, as it has a lot of potential. For this image I suggest you crop out most of top and maybe 1/3 from the left.
