--Angel, a good idea---diagonal lie of tree line and park benches is excellent. Subject is your morning runner-----but he/she is barely noticed---fades right into the tree-line. Why? 1) sharpest focus does not seem to be on your runner, 2) f/8 gave you too deep of a dof, 3) image would work better if runner was positioned at the right-hand vertical "third", 4) f/8 yielded a slower shutter speed----runner is "blurred" some due to motion of runner / slow shutter speed...

Antonio, So my first question when seeing an image is; Would I frame this and hang it on the "right" wall someplace. I could clearly see this image hung on a wall. Upon opening the "thumbnail", I was surprised and pleased to see the very small twinkling lights in the horizon----those twinkling lights "jump-starts" the imagination----making it very easy to distinguish the "city-scape" through the early morning (early evening) light/fog. I am un-convinced on your choice...

Oscar, A reasonable "aged" image. The "noise" added to the skin tones seem to work well, on the white clothing---it is too much---too distracting, in my view. But again, on the skin-toned areas, very realistic. Model, re-enactor provided excellent eye contact, which comes thru in your image ---- slightest of "catch-lights" ---excellent. His eyes, the expression on his young face and his pose absolutely "make" the image----in my view. From the perspective of this...

Good Morning Richard, Good use of the "polarizer". It has provided a near HDR effect (in my view) ---makes the details "pop" just the right amount--. I like the "mottled" lighting----makes on feel as if they were there in person. Composition, while good, would have been better if you had been able to position yourself and camera at a 3/4 position at the front right-hand corner---the image would start with the gently sloping lower roof---building up to the taller...

Antonio---Congratulations on having a working computer back---and being able to "be back" at P-Sig. Image is well taken, well composed. exposure / focus / lighting and composition are all good. Diagonal lie of the pallets adds to the composition. Subject is not wildly interesting, but image is well executed.

Oscar---Excellent work on this, in my view. Model is providing good eye contact with the viewer and your lens. She has a pleasant smile/comfortable with you look. Focus is "just right" soft----neither too soft nor too sharp. Lighting / exposure is good--- skin texture correct---realistic but not too much so. Crop at right saved you from an "armpit" view---perfect. The only thing I see to "nit" at is that very short/small "thread" from her brassiere that I see at the...

Welcome to PhotoSig. I'm with Richard on this. Pictures, if successful, tell a story. This image, to me tells a story----is a little bit like "Street Photography" but in the bedroom---on a more personal/intimate nature. Someone has enjoyed a "weekend sleep-in". It is morning, but not 6 a.m.----more like 9 or so a.m. First cigarette of the day has been smoked (lower right corner--barely distinguishable), bottle of water or soda on the floor---bag of something to eat...

Sandro, Image has so much symmetry in it----in my opinion you should build on/perfect that symmetry in your post-processing. Utilize a square format, try to get each of the four sides as perfectly aligned as possible---this will require a little correction of distortion ( I think). I do like the image and your idea----just think that you can do more with it---the raw material is there. Thanks for putting this up for critique. Bruce

Oscar, I have followed this series a bit---an this particular image I like. Did you consider a B&W presentation. I think that might have some potential. What you have here is good. Eye contact provided by model is excellent. This image seems crisper, less softly focused than several of your others. The model's left (camera right) cheek seems to have something going on----. Thanks for putting this up for critique. Bruce

Elisabeth, I like what you have done here....like it very much. It is, to me at least, a fresh idea, executed pretty well. Camera position is good--camera elevated about the right amount above the surface of the back and slightly forward of the "monster". I think an improvement would be to utilize the rule of thirds---shift the back/Loch Ness to the lower horizontal third by cropping some at the bottom----adding dark "horizon" at the top. The Banana works well....but,...

Oscar, It is her eyes that draws the view in. Very engaging. Pose is natural---but slightly uncomfortable looking ie, the raised right buttocks, but again it is a natural pose. I wonder if the shadow on the model's left eye could be, selectively, reduced just a little in post-processing----if it were my image, I would experiment with that a bit. Model has an intriguing face----I do not see sadness, but am intrigued. Thanks for putting this up for critique. Bruce

Dr. Bob----Kudos, kudos for bringing out some of your "archived". I appreciate seeing them in part because they are of such varied interests and places. As to this image, the highly exposed "rock" to the left of the cave opening is an obvious distraction. Cropping the image at the left, shifting your subject to the left hand "third" ......then cropping both above and below your subject would significantly improve the presentation, in my view. I like the way that the...

Robert----Hmmmm, a home-made lens.....of your own making light-years ago, I am guessing. Kudos to you for pulling this out of your archives and doing wok on it. My guess is this could become sellable art! Composition is excellent, from my uneducated---self taught POV. Halo is, at first sight, a bit disturbing, but once the viewer understands the lens and process used, is quickly forgiven/dismissed. Model is well posed, camera position, just slightly above (about 12...

Jean-Pierre, Your model has provided a strong pose---and yes, she does look like she is thinking something...wants to say something. She has provided excellent eye contact to your lens and the viewer---but it does not appear that your sharpest focus is at her eyes....a minor distraction. Attire works well, leather motorcycle like jacket only partially zipped---an alluring décolletage. Heavy (probably gold--maybe silver) metal necklace works well. DOF is good----as one...

Oscar, A very happy accident! Composition is excellent, other than that the camera left (photo right) ---where some of her hair has been cropped out. As to the white balance-----I would try to revise this---bump the white, ending up with a high-key like image-----my simple thoughts. Thanks for putting this up for critique. Model's pose is excellent! Bruce
