awesome dude. what makes it awesome is the correct placement of the elements in the view finder
composition makes or breaks a shot like this
of course the right choice of lens and exposure did not hurt either
Rock on dude !

The top of the gown is corectly exposed to show detail and that is sometimes the hard part of photographing a bride.
Why is the groom in this ? He has not been asked to look at the camera ???
Why is this a horizontal composition, images of two or less should almost always be taken in vertical format, get closer.
exposure was right.
except that there is a blown highlight on her teeth
which could be retouched with PS

Dave,
Great image.....
for those that are learning what makes this image C@@L
is the choice of a wide lens and propper use of that lens
to frame the car at the right angle and just tight enough without clipping any of it and allowing the lines of the car to not get too distorted while leading to the Team that is pushing the car.

Rich,
Nicely done.
It would be a 3 if she had her head turned just a bit to her right and you were a tad to your left. This would cause the light to highlight the mask of her face. You did do well with having catch light in her eyes and a good ratio of light from one side of the face to the other (not the typical flat light we see here so often)
Rich, keep up the good work and below are some lighting articles........
A look at my artical of lighting for a portrait...

I think what makes it a non 3 up for me is the title implies a portrait, so we should be able to see someone or at least distinguish features of the person.
As an abstract it is great
I like the technique

I hate to do so, but it is too stiff visually.
The lens flare does not help at all, with what could have been great colors.
She could have been cut out from another image and glued into the nature scene and you would have the same effect.
I try to never pose a person square to the camera, mine of course are clothed and front views, but that does not matter.
I agree if I draw a line across the bottom of her butt checks she is in deed not square to the film plane, but...

wow !
The Thumb nail does not do this image justice.
Very well done, perfect focus on the subject while allowing the background to go a bit soft, the whiskers as well as the eyes really make it !

Wow !
What a great idea.
I would rate it a 3 + but I feel the side of the face that is the nearest the camera should be the shadow side (IOW Fill light)

yes and it does communicate the question "want to play"
however the poster behind her and her shadow take away from a great job. use of a flash bracket and having the subject step away from the wall all would help.
Please consider looking at one of mine

Ron,
I like it too.
What would improve it if there had been time...
decrease the depth of field in other words allow the background to be softer in focuse.
Care to look at one of mine ?
