The blown out sky ruins it for me. Otherwise it's a nice photo. HDR would fix it for sure as I can see some sky detail in the reflection which is a stop or two darker than the sky itself. Perhaps some sky detail can be recovered from the RAW file, but HDR would be an even better solution if the shot was bracketed.

I'll be there next week! Someone will complain that the composition is wrong with the horizon splitting the middle, but I like it with the foreground interest and the sky interest. What bothers me are apparent artifacts in the foreground that are very distracting. I'm not even sure what it is as I've never seen anything like it but it is probably something to do with the processing instead of something the camera captured.

This one is just about perfect. Exposure, focus, depth of field, shutter speed, composition... it all works. The only thing preventing me from giving it a 3 thumbs up is ... well, I don't know! I guess I'm saving that rating for the photo that says "WOW" and this one misses that by a little. Good job.

The exposure is perfect with a good shutter speed to smooth the action of the water without blowing out the highlights. The composition is bit too centered even though I usually don't object to that. In this case though I think you could take off about 1/4 of the left side of the image and it makes a stronger composition.

The exposure is so hard to get right on a blue heron because of the white feathers below the eyes and along the upper neck. You seem to have gotten this one right. Well done.

What a cute photo! The focus is tack sharp on the chipmunk's eyes and the depth of field really isolates the subject's face. Well done. I have a couple of crusty old 5d's and they give me excellent results like this too.

Very nicely done. If anything you may want to shift the color temperature a bit warmer as the scene appears a little too cool for my liking. Otherwise, it looks great.

This is a well done photograph. The composition is good, the dynamic range of the photo is just right, and the shutter speed is perfect. I like that you resisted the temptation to oversaturate the colors.

Well done. I agree that cropping from the left a bit will help the composition. I've tried to use focus stacking on a field of black-eyed Susans to get maximum depth of field and it's too hard with the slightest movement messing up the photograph(s). I found a shallow DOF like this works best.

It looks pretty good except the right side of the photograph seems to be leaning outward. A little perspective correction in Photoshop would straighten up those trees.

I think it works with the symmetrical composition. It's not a scene I would think to photograph so good eye to see this. Exposure and sharpness is good.

I like the composition but something about this photo doesn't excite me. Perhaps it's the muted tones in the foreground or the lack of a dramatic sky and clouds (you can't help that -- it is what it is!). I would like to see more detail in the shadows, particularly that path (canal tow path?) to the right.

At first glance I thought perhaps it could use some more punch, likely brightness and contrast. The more I look at though I realize this is just right for the overcast sky and general gloomy weather. I like it.

I like it. Nice composition and well-executed. I agree that the two objects on the right are distracting and could be cloned out, although that alters the reality of the scene as you saw it. You could just crop them out and not create an ethical issue, but then the crossed tire tracks get a bit too close to the right edge. The dark corners bother me a bit and I'd correct the vignetting if it were my photo, but perhaps you like it that way and that's fine as it's a personal...

Very, very nice... I like it. You nailed the exposure, and the focus on the bee and the center of the flower is tack sharp. I'd be tempted to crop the bottom a bit to eliminate that sharply focused area under the flower that draws your eye away from the main scene above.
