I can't help but wonder what this one would be like in portrait format with maybe a touch less zoom and a lot more sky. The sky is why you've shot with such a long shutter speed, so emphasis it much more. Clutter on the rhs of the frame does detract a little. With a bit more work and thought this location could be a winner for you

I like the air of mystery that this one portrays. The mist, the lone woman and her looking out of the frame all ask questions. Black and white suits the scene perfectly. If I were to be picky though I would say crop a bit of the rhs to get rid of the branch on the right that appears to be floating in the mist, it would also balance the composition a little more

What an amazing photo. Not only does it captivate the viewer but it does so in a way that makes you question reality. A real wall hanger that will have me thinking about it for a long time to come.
Well done indeed

What a great photo. Very well done for seeing it. I love the light and the way the colours combine to make for a very cool feel to the image. I agree that the top maybe superflous to the shot, but it doesn't detract enough IMO to be anything less than 3tu

Great feel to this one. The range of tones along the buildings is superb. Love the central composition. My only criticism is that it doesn't look old in terms of style or feel.

Composition and viewpoint make this one really very good indeed. Light is superb and the sky is pretty too. I don't like the vignetting effect though, whether by design or default it doesn't add much to the shot IMO

I totally agree with you when you say you like the contrast between sharpness and blur here. It could have been very easy to overdo the blur, but you have still managed to retain a good sense of tidal movement in it. Well done!Only thing I don't like in this one is the way the net ends out at sea, a bit of an anti climax for such a powerful leading line.By giving you a couple of thumbs here I will be knocking my own shot of the front page, but IMHO yours is much more...

Beautifully sharp image. Technicals are all spot on. The only reason I give two, rather than three, thumbs is that I really don't like the crop. The pano crop seems to slice the bubbles at the top of the frame and leave our eye looking out side the frame for the rest of them.

I cant't help but feel that this shot would have had so much more impact if the main tree was further to the right. Being so central, it accentuates the 50/50 split in light with the eye being drawn more to the brighter left side. can't help but like the colours though, they compensate for any minor composition nits

Hard lighting and a very prominent blue sky. Have you considered turning this one into a high contrast mono shot? Think it would be better, but at the end of the day it's not my call

This is suited to the pano format. Slightly off centered focal point with really good lead in line takes our eye on a journey not just to the focal point, but also to the radiating lead lines that take us to the surrounding skyline.only thing I'm not keen on is the lack of any cloud in the sky, but that is purely a personal thing rather than a flaw in the photo. 2.75 thumbs

Hard to say what kind of quality these shots have at this size, but as a story they work very well together. I feel that you need the exhale part in the shot too, just to complete the "satisfaction" theme.Brave subject in anti smoking times

There's nothing in this shot that I would change. Composition, clarity of light, colour, they all add up to a technically and artistically flawless shot.I'd hang it on my wall

Bill has summed up precisely what I feel about the shot. Composition is superb, but only without the sky. Strong low evening light or slightly softer early morning light would have been your friend for this shot on another day.One tip about shots taken in harsh light, do not apply much sharpening

I like this. Plenty of shutter speed to keep it sharp, but slow enough to render movement in the legs.I think I'd have been inclined to have shot from a lower POV, simply to get some of the messy background more out of focus, but appreciate that sometimes this leads to other problems.Training is a great time for photos
