believe it or not, i think the background is distracting. i think it has too much going on. i would suggest a different camera position to make the bench look more isolated. tommy

if you want to make this photo more convincing, get farther away. her posture and look certainly makes her look lonely, but the tight crop gives a feeling of stress and uncomfortableness. i think you want to portray lonliness, so get far back and compose her much smaller in the frame. tommy

it's difficult to make objects like power lines look attractive in photographs. even with setting light such as this, i still don't find this composition that interesting. it isn't bad but i think to make this more appealing you need to find another composition. also the color of the sky looks off a bit. i would suggest altering the hue just a bit to less purpleish pink and more orange red. tommy

the stark contrast between dark and light look almost abstract, like a study between dark and light. something that i find strange for a portrait that it is done this way rather than reversed, however, i feel that it gives it plenty of visual interest. good work. tommy

the light here looks very attractive. the vignetting caused by shadows is great. comosition is fine, but i feel that it should be cropped in slightly tighter. nice processing. tommy

i have to agree with the previous critique. this dog looks like he;s laughing rather than yawning. the bright areas aren't overexposed but they certainly distract. i would suggest the softening you've done to lessen it just a touch as this looks to obvious. I think that most effects such as this be done less obvious and more subtle. tommy

what you're saying about the way the sky lights everything in bright orange is very interesting and almost literally the main focus and subject of this image. the image itself lacks interest but the color and explanation are really interesting. tommy

the white flower makes a good focal point in this repetitious sea of green and red. nice placement of it as well. i think composition of something like this is probably not the easiest, but you did well. tommy

i think against a darker more harsher background, such as a wall, stone, etc. would be better. not necessarily darker, just harder, like his expression. the vignette, too strong. nice eye contact. good expression. also introducing lighting to match his expression would be great, a light ratio rather than 1:1. all these things would dramatically improve this shot. tommy

this is quite interesting. i think the shoes would make an interesting subject themselves with out the man, however the enviormental portrait is really good too. i just like how varied the shoes are. good work. tommy

Benny, your treatment is so good. I think that you could have easily overdone the texturing, because its easy to do when we see something is looking good, but you have left it minimal but enough to give it a wonderful mood. tommy

this image, while interesting compositionally, needs some work in regards to contrast. looks a bit dull and underexposed. tommy
