Excellent image. The black background is very dramatic, good composition. Perfect DOF. It appears that the turtle is taking a bow!. Regards, Susan Segal

nice contrast, the diagonal angle adds interest, good composition. Being from a place that never sees snow I find it interesting to see these monochromatic images. It looks like dacron used in quilting. Regards, Susan Segal

I'm glad to see you have listened to the critiques, this looks so much better straightened. The building in the background is a great focal point. Regards, Susan Segal

I have often admired this type of shot but never tried it myself...you have inspired me to do so now. I found the critiques helpful and will take them into consideration.

The image is attractive, good contrast and DOF. What spoils it for me is the distracting awning in the top left corner at the front. It is a bit large to clone out. Perhaps try again before the shop owner opens it. Also if you were to take two steps to your right the bollards would appear more symetrical and less distracting, the people appear to be walking into it. Regards, Susan Segal

The image is controversial, yet artistic. The very shallow DOF looks a bit unnatural have you manipulated it? I like the composition and diagonal lines. Regards, Susan Segal

Lovely tones and good silhouette. Good proportions.
Pleasing composition. I would like to see this with a slightly longer exposure giving a bit more detail to the lighthouse and shoreline.Regards, Susan Segal

..and they're all made out of ticky tacky. Great shot. Good DOF, nice colour. Pity the roof of the red one is cut off a bit and there is a slight tilt to the left. Regards, Susan Segal

Gee, I'm just a sucker for teddy bears. Lovely composition, but it could be a bit sharper.

I love the Black & White. Nice composition, good DOF, lovely contrast, great diagonals. I would like to see them from the other perspective too, (all facing the camera) Obviously at another time of day. Susan Segal

Nice colour and composition, great reflection. Good clarity. There appears to be some noise in the sky, maybe due to compression. Regards, Susan Segal

Welcome back! I like the concept you are attempting here, the balance is good, nice tight crop, great lighting; but I'm not 100% comfortable with the DOF. Appears a bit shallow in my opinion. Maybe try it with a greater DOF. Regards, Susan Segal

The depth of field is great, excellent definition and clarity.
The centering of the subject works well. The sky draws you in. Very three dimensional.
The black line of the frame should be equal on all sides.

Excellent, Aba, as ususal. I've been very lazy lately. Too busy at work too. Regarding my windows of the world, they looked just aweful after they were reduced in size, sorry.
