Nice textures & shapes. I believe the shadow area through the center is a bit too large for the photo. While some might find the distorted horizon objectionable, I find it adds to the expansive feel of the photo--as though you are seeing the actual curvature of the earth.

I like outdoor flower macros/close-ups, which this appears to be... nicely framed with a consistent & diminished background of a tree trunk(?). Also, like the stalk & closed pod completing the photo.

Excellent composition & balance. One suggestion would be to consider cropping off only a portion of the dark skies above (but may throw off the balance).
While I believe the colors are beautiful, you might also consider as a b&w, to help emphasize the silholette(sp?) of the ship.

I like the color & composition--simple & balanced. I am surprised as the dof on a macro with such an opened f/stop. But, I do think a little more dof to more effectively clarify the top "fuzz balls" would help make this a stellar photo.

I agree there are tigers everywhere, but often they are not easy to photograph in a zoo. I like the composition, with the nice grass all around & no manmade tiger toys or structures around. I also find his looking right at you with a bit of a crabby face works well.
If your into post processing (which I am usually too lazy to do) you might try cloning out the black stick on the right & either softening or cloning out some of the grass by his face.

The wire coming from behind is a little unusual, though not necessarily distracting. The wire behind running horizontal is a bit distracting though. Also interesting to note bit of stuff between gear teeth. (Is the first wire really dental floss???)
Otherwise find the composition very nice. You might try similar shot wide open at f2.8 for transitional blur from the front of the gear to the back of the gear...
Have fun with your new lens. I also have & love... very...

High contract scenes are always hard to shoot. By the time you get the exposure to where the tree tops are being overexposed the area on the road is totally dark... so we make choices. I prefer seeing the detail along the road (as shown).
You might try setting the f-stop a little higher next time for an increase of detail sharpness/pop.

An excellent shot. I believe that the 2/3'rds shell crop works well, especially when combined with the snail being extended.
While it may not have been intentional I also like how the light is divided with the shadows on top & bright below.

Overall nice shot. I see a lot of shoes in the frame, but other than the one at the top, not too distracting. Unfortunately, if you crop the one at the top you will end up making the bird above the girl's head headless & even more distracting than the shoe... The exposure is a little hot on her white clothes (along her back), but not really a negative the front of the shirt was properly exposed. If you have flash available next time you might consider using to balance...

I think it looks pretty good. I am surprised at how sharp it is considering was shot at f2.8. If you can reshoot your might try f8 - f11. You might want to crop a little more off of the sides. I would also suggest that you make a nice print for your wife.
Hopefully, your wife will recover soon.

I like the overall contrasting light. You might also consider doing in B&W... I really like how the blue water only tapers in the foreground...
You also might want to try some compositional variances... some with a single boat & some with several...

I like the composition generally as is... though if you get a chance to reshoot similar you might consider having two thirds in front of the boat.
You might also consider converting to b&w, especially if you can emphasize (in a subtle way) the mountains & the texture in the blanket of clouds.

As stated above you framed/cropped a bit too close to the front of the train. While you might not want to leave a 1/3 of the open you should consider having some margin there...
Also, as discussed above having more light & a higher f/stop will increase your dof. Alternatively you might consider having the focal point off center, to the left at the front of the train, with the image blurring as the eye moves toward the back of the train.

The sky is done... I find that using a nd grad on shots like this, more so on cloudy days, really helps.
Also, find the white roof in woods just behind the farmm to be slightly distracting. While I am not usually not one to touch up something like that, it is something you might want to consider.
Like the overall balance of the house, trees behind & the mountain.

An interesting contrasting composition of both texture & color. I like the flow of the background color, especially in that it is completely devoid of any detail to distract from the highly textured subject.
I do agree with the prior poster that a bit more dof especially on the right bottom would be good...
