Cute guy/lady. Getting down to the dog's level makes this a very intimate picture. However, I don't think the DOF works here - focusing on the nose is a little off-putting. I think putting the whole face in focus would have helped. Thanks for posting.

What drew me to this was the beautiful exposure. I particularly appreciate the central light in the middle of the flower radiate outwards. If I were to be picky, I'd say the leaf of the front bud spoils the entirety of the flower - otherwise, lovely shot.

Good capture of the bird. However, it all looks a little washed-out. I think there is a lot of detail there that could be brought out using 'levels' in photoshop

You've caught a nice picture of Ms Robin and as your title suggests, her habitat. You've managed to get low and catch a good perspective. However, I feel there's so much 'activity' surrounding her, that my attention is distracted somewhat. Also, her eye seems slightly off-focus. Thanks for sharing.

I compared this to your first version. I prefered the other version. Although it's a well composed picture, the smoke tends to blend into the trees and reduces the impact of both. The first version had more impact and vibrancy. Thank you for posting

I'm intrigued by this photo. You've done a great job combining all the different elements to finalise a well crafted and interesting composite. Thanks for posting.

Good use of slow shutter, although the water appears silky and smooth. The questionable title has me viewing the photo' differently. Although the branch is extending across the frame, is it supposed to be a sword?

Sometimes rules(thirds)are meant to be broken - and you've done a good job. It's clean and simple and gives a different slant to flower photography.

This caught my eye, and I'm particularly drawn to the smooth sky which darkens around the derelict bulding, helping it stand out. A well composed capture - thanks for sharing.

The title idea is very good albeit literal. The BW and ground lines leading to the blackbird is used well to lead the eyes. But I feel the picture is let down by lack of sharpness.

Beautiful capture. The only thing to niggle about is the background branches which are a little distracting. Everything else: exposure, sharpness, compostition, colour are spot on. This is certainly a poke in the eye to the DSLR toffs.

Nice shots of the flowers, and have been nicely masked before adding the backround. However, in this photo', I'd have liked to see the stem stretch to the bottom. Althought the inner light helps connect the two flowers together, it, unfortunately, also serves to dilute their impact.

Very good capture. The frog(or is it toad) is very sharp, with good dof for the grass. Appropriate view-point. The heavy grass helps to tell a story; a predator, as your title suggests - or is it hiding? My favourite picture today.

I find this very pleasing. Although the bird is small and almost centre, i think it works well and is a very relaxing picture. I could imagine this as a print on a 'waiting room' wall. I do agree with the other comment about dropping the advertisement.

I'm driven to give three thumbs. Clear, sharp, good contrast between bird and background. Simple, effective and last but not least - beautifully ugly.
