Good idea, but selective focusing is still unsufficient (too much depth of field). His eyes' whites are jut ... not white, something should be done about them. There's a bright green triangle in the background that should be cloned out.

Nice colours and good framing, but the depth of field is not sufficient (the bud at rear should be sharp, too. I like the texture effect, but the frame isn't fortunate, especially as it is not spotlessly made ...

Black on black, nice ... good sharpness, good lighting. Maybe shot from a bit too close ? And too much space over the head ...

I saw this Osprey at the lake the other day.

Great powerful bird in a noble attitude; unfortunately its eye is a bit dull as the light is coming from the left, and the branch is in front of it, which is unfortunate as there should be nothing between its head and the edeg of the frame ...

he thumbnail is very enticing, the picture itself a bit disappointing; the flower lacks sharpness and texture, and the background is too overwhelming ...

Excellent ... of course the opposition cold foreground/warm background works well, but even more so the broken lines provided by the rail and the dynamism added by the use of a wide angle ... too bad about the corner of the bench missing ...

Good composition, with the road ans stone wall great lead-in lines; good viewpoint, with the castel more imposing from below ... good choice of B&W, that gives the scene an atemporal feel ... unfortunately the light was apparently coming the wrong way ... and the castle is too much in the shade.
Shooting in this season and yet you get a tourist-free picture ... well done !

Pleasant expression, good eye contact, nice B&W tones, but too soft. The teeth appear to be a bit too grey, and the contour of the hand is strangely blurred.

Good idea, good pose, good location ... creativity as usual ... But the flare ? I wonder why what used to be considered, if not a 'no-no', at least a flaw (i.e. lack of contrast, general washed-out impression ...) has become a widespread trend. It seems everyone has to have a go at it these days. That really spoils the visual pleasure I take looking at such pictures, even devoid of nasty artefacts like the one here.

Flash was necessary as the li ttle girl was backlit, but used in such a manner it's not very fortunate, as the light is too harsh, too frontal ... also, the horizon leans (an easy fix), and that 'mooring thing' (sorry I don't know what to call it ...) could have been use as a prop (for example, she could be leaning against it, hugging it ...) rather than a distraction. Good sharpness and lovely smile though, albeit a bit constrained ...

Well framed, good sharpness, but I think this picture would benefit from some darkening and would look better in B&W. Also, get rid of those elements in the background (bottom right).

A good document, and potentially a good picture; straightene the horizon, get rod of the buildings (though not of the house on far left ...), boost the colours a bit ... too bad nothing easy can be done about the reflection ...

A nice portrait with good lighting and well-chosen square format; lighting is straightforward but pleasing. The idea of the suitcase would be better suited to a different expression, maybe the 'jack in the box' type ...

Great detail and texture, nice hue ... HDR has been put to good use and not overdone. It really serves the image. maybe a bit more contrast though ?

Lovely cat under a very good, flattering light ... excellent exposure and focussing, great sharpness ... BUT ... that stone basin in the foreground spolis the picture ...
