A great picture, Lukar! The composition is perfect, and b/w is well balanced. The pictures of the museum really seem to be floating in the air. The two men give the impression to be caught in a kind of spell. Thanks for this picture! Maury

Fantastic photo! It is perfect in every aspect! Love the composition and the the curve which leads viewers' eyes to the people on the photo. The tones are perfect. Black and white does suit this picture. I'm guessing colours would have been too distracting. Truly brilliant! Love it! Congratulations. Regards, Mariola.

I absolutely love the lines in this shot. And the reflections are perfectly framed. Monochrome was the right way to go, as I imagine any colours in the image would have detracted from the shapes.

I like the creative shot, I considered doing something similar this weekend ! As I try to focus on the the men, my eyes are drawn back to the reflection in the first photo, it's a work-out for the eyes.Over all, I do like the choice of BW and the depth and angle. How did you get a camera in there? I'm always hesitant to ask if I can shoot photos in a gallery as to not sound offensive. What's your secret?

A very imaginative and interesting photograph - well executed!
If I may offer an opinion as to what I think would have made it absolutely perfect (in a world where we can control everything), that would be to have stopped down a little further, in order to have enough depth of field to have a razor-sharp foreground, and, I think, to have only one man in the photograph would have been a bit more introspective.
But this is a gorgeous photograph.

Three thumbs up is supposed to mean "technically and artistically flawless" or "absolutely perfect" to use your own words. If it's not then it doesn't deserve to be more than a two thumbs up.

Veri good contrast, very good idea and technicalr realisation !
But i find that picture very academic, so much academic.
I prefered a view more dynamic with a low-angle shot for breacking horizontal Symmetry and have a better occupation of right-top picture.

The dark part of the first frame on left side is globally a good symmetry for the two men (even if you dont know that this is the reflection of the two men).
Now the exploration can begin : The two reflected faces are almost entirely in that frame. Exact correspondence would have mean that the photo is prepared. It is better with that little imperfection.
The second frame and many of the following contains two reflected frames and that is another good symmetry, two by two.
So, a very good and still lively composition.
Richard

The reflections in the framed photos disturb me for some reason but I can't remeber staring at an image this long.. It grabs me right down to the guys canvas shoes.. Me thinks you nailed it. As far as the reflections go... What do I know.. It just dawned on me that you may have created the images in the first 6-8 frames....

Impecable composition on this one, and great in depth focusing. The two observers are positioned just right, and the reflections on the glass give the image a nice touch, even a boost to the photo's dynamic potential, in spite of the serene surroundings.

this is one incredible image. there is not a thing i can say to improve. the framing and high contrast work perfectly. very few images that are posted as "fine art" really deliver the goods, and this one is fully deserving of that title.

perfect - awesome shot - you can linger on this...... I would loved to have taken this photo, i would have played the people up close, far , different positions while maximizing depth of field. possible a polarizer to elimate refelctions on glass as an option, although the reflected subject matter works really well.

I really like this photo - particularly the strong curves. I don't agree
with other critiques that the people (or their reflections) are a
distraction - the scene would look clinical and too deliberate without them.
The figures give the pictures on the wall a nice sense of context. :-)

Good effort, I think you have a few problems, the men in the back, draw attention away from the curved scene, you should have waited until they had left.
There is a problem with reflexes in the pictures on the wall, you could have tried using a polarisation filter (to remove the reflexes), I think that would have worked.
I really like the black and white choice, I think colors would have ruined some of it.

very impressive perspective. however, those two people in the picture seem did not contribute too much to the quality of this picture. 1, two men occupied too large room and drew the viewer's attention away from the picture curve on the wall; 2 two men did not look impressive neither did their expression or clothing, they looked too plain; 3 either one man or one man's back might be better. sorry for my poor english:)

This is a fantastic piece of work. Well done! You've centred the flow of pictures perfectly and captured a really good perspective. My only issue is the reflections are a distraction but I'm not sure there's anything you can do about that other than touch ups in PS. Good stuff! :)

A pleasure to see this photo
1)Its a great photo, it catchs a maoment and creates a moment.
2)Its about photos. Photography can be the poor relation to other older art forms. This celebrates artistically the framed and hanging works.
3)Its very simple and quite complete
4)For me this is perfect
Well done

I wish to add my admiration for this wonderfully composed shot. Enjoynment of art should be something simple an linear, like this picture. The circular composition makes me feel like the series of pictures continues beyond the left edge, to go around me and rejoining the picuters on the right. Black and white is a great thing, in its simplicity. Just a few tones of gray.

The reflections of the two persons on the first painting has to be removed. ANd the silhouette on the wall for the first person to be removed also! Need more contrast between the wall and the floor! Perfect perspective and angle. Good DOF.

Only a little and humble comment respect of this great shot: i think thta the poitns of force of your photo are the very clean composition, the perspecive giving a sense of motion toa very static subject and the choice of B&W. I love it from every points of view: focus, crop and lighting. The white helps o give a perfect sense of clearness! A very great job..my compliments--- Paolo

Very good. The choice for black & white is perfect, so are the lines and the composition. The sneakers add a little fun. The only flaw I can find is that the 2 men are a bit over-sharpened.

Mr. Lukar: I simply had to tell you, as everybody else, how we feel. This is absolutely beautiful. Artistically and technically flawless. My hat off. This is as perfect as perfect can be photografically speacking, no need for tricks, photoshop or lab enhancements. Outstanding!!! One little thing not even worth mentioning, because as it is, is perfect but I'll mention it anyways: If this shot had been planned with anticipation, the use of a wider angle lens or the use of hyper focal distance, would have gotten absolutely sharp, the frame in the foreground. But of course, you know this is asking too much, so, please forgive me. congratulations in such well executed image. Respectfully yours, Oliva.

I really like your photo. It represents all the things that a display like this stands for. By this I mean the old gentlemen viewing the gallery tell the story. The perspective adds with the overexposure of the wall keeping the focus on the subjects. The perspective adds to the scene. Great work.

Great shot, indeed. The line of pictures prerfectly draw the look onto visitors and in the same time provides feeling of debth. One strange aspect are the reflections on the glass cover. It would be nice to see the same shot with reflection eliminated by polarizer or simply slightly eliminated.

Just super, Lukar! No doubt, the best shot today on the main page. Perfect, I should say ascetic B&W technique. And this round perspective is something... I thought a lot about reflections on the first 5-6 photos. At first I thought it's blemish, later overal atmosphere owerweighted it and now I think of it as advantage.
Well, congratulations, I would like to have this one in my own portfolio. Have a good day.

This is one of those shots that is immediately appealing and captivating. Wonderful, simple composition and good use of B&W contrast. I really like the perspective and the reflections add a nice bit of interest.
About the only thing I notice that is wrong with this shot is the first picture frame on the left is a bit out of focus - maybe there was nothing you could do about it... Either way, it is not really noticable and therefore not worth taking points off.
Overall an excellent photograph that I enjoyed looking at. Thanks for sharing :-)

Excellent photo. The initial impression of simplicity is changed to one of appreciation with the subtly of composition and exposure as I study the photo. The exposure of the wall eliminates unwanted details and provide a clean canvas for the picture frames. The reflection of the people in the first frame is perfectly aligned to look back at the real people. The reverse curve of the reflected frames counter the overall curve of the composition. Well done!

Photography at its best. The right time, the right space, the right light, perfectly composed and exposed. And BW off course. And with a bit of "luck element" ie. the reflection on the first picture. Did you noticed it when you shot it or after developping? Sometimes when I shoot something like this I smile even before I go to develop it before I know I got it! Well done! And no colour, no naked girl, no background, no PS. Cartier Bresson could have made this.

Like somebody else said, the best image I have seen in quite some time. What makes if for me is the way that the wall is blown out, the resulting contrast is exquisite. I was wondering what lens and camera were used. There also seems to be some fall-off at the upper corners - what is that resulting from? Well done.

As it has already been said, you had the eye in spotting the reflection of the other part of the circle in the foreground frames, and it makes the shot. Your very hard contrast is also welcome here, bringing an extreme sharpness to the frames and giving an heavenly infinity to the ceiling. A personnal detail I love: the sneakers of the first man.

Perfect composition, where the top, the low and the soil lines , they create geometric lines that take softly the attention of the observer to the persons who calmly observe the images. These persons estan placed in the central area of attention. (2/3) Really simple, really well compound, excellent photo, Congratulations

I like this photo, B&W technique that fits here literally great; interesting perspective that rounds the curve, and that smooth shadow of these men. Top job I would like to say, but just one detail that bothers me (little bit) is these men reflection in the first picture. I do realize this item can be found interesting and necessary for many of us, but just not for me anyhow.

This is excellent! I don't know what I can really add to the comments already posted but you really caught everyone's eye with this one. It's human nature to be attracted to the curve in the photo and you executed it so nicely with the photos being there. I love how you can see the reflections in the fist couple photos, I love the clean lines and contrasting colors, the shadow of the men studying the photo in the photo. Very well done with this, you should be proud!
