This is just dumb! And you really need to run it through an auto levels equalization filter, because the image is way too washed.

sorry. not every photoshop experiment is worth sending here. this is a good example of one you should have just left on your computer.

Are those the bad demons from "Ghost" trying to take this dog away? :-) The exposure seems to be off, and you have alot of blue in the shadows, and a general color balance problem. The digital trickery to generate the shadows doesn't work technically, or compositionally for me. I think you should learn to do the basics of Photoshop before trying more sophisticated manipulation. You get points for trying something different though....
