This picture is for me like a magnet, look at them for months. I do not know exactly why, but I go back and go back to him. I do not want to write about a girl, the frame color. This photo has something special, what attracts me. Yours

fantastic. This could easily have been a snapshot but you elevated by captureing the lady in just the right pose, clearly focusing on her and the croping of the photo. Having her face as the only one in the photo helps make it work.

I like this shot, specially her expression, half surprised half amused. Nice capture.

Now on to the tecnique part, here i find some flaws. The composition, with the guy on the left, well, it kind of bugs me, but being a street portrait, messing with that would be impossible, so we'll put that aside. On the focus part, you could've focused more on the girls eyes and the usage of a wider aperture wouldn't hurt, imo. It's the exposure part that really bothers me, because her shoulder is clearly over exposed!

But its nonetheless a good shot. :D

Stupendous. Others have remarked on many of the obvious qualities, but I wanted to say I liked the choice of frame. I'm going to guess this was meant to look like a letterboxed movie shot, the title being presented as a subtitle, perhaps from a narrorator. I tend to use DOF to isolate a subject too ofter, but this is a wonderful example of how good composition can do the job even without a lot of bokeh.

Great picture, makes me think if there is fate as it reminds of these situations where you just pass through big crowds and suddenly your eyes meet the eyes of a fascinating person.

I love the subject! Great job.

I guess that the focus would be stronger with the rest BW and just her in colour but I think that doing that would provoke the feeling of "trying-too-hard".

Nice pic. This image really spoke to me. I agree with Nancy's comment, I think that this piece would look amazing as a B&W or a subtle duotone of the background, and just the girl in full color. Brilliant work.

I love how the girl is the center of the picture and bright yellow shirt catches everyone’s eyes. My only suggestion would be to try spot color. Have the entire image in B&W but have the girl in color, I think it would bring out the girl more. Great capture in a busy city.

How a random instant glance can be a subject of criticism. You can see nothing but people however not their faces which help the woman in the centre to dominate the picture. I like this photo and I like it a lot.

The bright gaze and colours of this subject really draw the viewer into this picture. The depth of view and focus are spot on adding to this interest. Capturing the human subject's expressions are vital to the success of this picture. You have captured a great mood and feeling in this shot. Well done.

Excellent photo of this type. Almost as if the picture was lifted from the eyes of the person that she is looking at. I love urban-type photography and this is great. The way everyone is looking away and unnoticing except for her and the way she connects with the photographer is done very nicely. This does have the feel of an ad, or something from MTV but that is not bad. Only thing is some blown highlights, but nevertheless, captured the feel.

Very nice. It almost looks candid, as though the photographer is invisible, and only coming between the subject and whomever or whatever she her gaze is fixed on. You've done an excellent job of bringing the viewer in to the photograph. I love shots like this. The only thing that could make it better would be if her focus was on a point just beyond the lens. Now it feels as though the photographer might have just been noticed. Excellent at any rate!

I like this photo very much. Really well arranged IMHO.
The sense of depth is excellent. I'm curious about the lighting and camera settings you used.
I notice an illusion here: The figure in the right of the model is behind, but in the first moment it appears as if she(most probably) or he is in front. I suppose it's due to the combination of the large volume of her/his hair and the use of long focus lense. However, it doesn't affect the quality of the photo.

i love this shot...very compelling. This photo really connects that girl with the viewer. the assorted crowd of non-descript people (you can't see anyone's faces - they might as well not be there) really drives this connectionwith the individual home. I am reminded of tiem spent people watching on a crowded bus/subway, where you don't immediately turn away when they notice you are looking at them, because they look back at you with that warm and friendly look. I love the print, with the borders. My only wish is that it could be wider (real panoramic), without altering the perspective of the current shot--just an additional half inch on each side. That might make the faceless crowd more significant, and her stand out more... I would love to think that this picture was not posed, just a moment captured on film....

Great clarity, color, and DOF in the image. Best of all the subject's expression draws you in and seems to reflect a personality of artist and subject. The hair/back of head to her right is the only distracting part of the photo. Too bad that's not more out of focus as well.

Have to say I really like this photo, it has grown on me in the last 2 days. The colour and sharpness of the photo where is needed is excellent and outways the over exposure on the shoulder. The model makes this photo come together too, she has the classic girl next door look which draws you in. Again well done cant wait to see more of your work.

I just wanted to express my vote on this great picture. It's definitely an excellent shot! I would like to ask how you managed to have everyone else turned while shooting this nice portrait of your model. The only flaw here (but it's definitely a small one) are those harsh highlights on the girl's shoulder. And I am missing a description of the reasons and techniques used, but that's a flaw only to me. ^_^

Please, if you don't mind, drop a critique on my last picture.

Nice shot - the girl is very appealing. So just what is a "night underground photo session"? Are you literally underground (this looks like it could have been taken on a NY subway car). Or do you mean underground as in "underground comics"? And what is the significance of it being "night" to this shot? Not meaning to be critical - just curious!

Hi and well done! nice shot! I think like others than the other people is too big for the main charachter, and a crop could improve the scene. Anyway I think that the naked arm of the girl is like a kind of strong 'defense' from the big presence of the man on the left. Sorry for my bad english.

This is incredible. The colors are properly saturated, the subject is clear, and the model is natural. I can't tell weather or not she is looking at the camera or slightly to her right. Either way, beautifully done. I, too, think it would have looked better with a vertical crop. Bravo on the bordering, the text gives it a nice touch.

Amazing. I could feel that it was just a moment - stoped - and the crowd is moving again. It is just the glimps of a beautiful face you get when you walk in the crowd. I guess that overexposed spot on the shoulder doesn't let you stare for too long. It makes you just glimps... Implementation is perfect. I looked at your other photo. Very nice. But this one is the most original.

fantastic portrait with an intended journalistic feel to it... I love it. Her yellow shirt really makes this shot, seperating her from the masses. The one flaw that sticks out here is color balance, particularily in her skin tones (it's subjective, but it looks that way to me)... a bit too much of a yellow cast. Otherwise, great use of DOF... nice work.

This is a great shot. You have really plucked her out of the crowd. Nice DOF and shirt choice.. There is nothing to indicate that this is night, so the title seems a little unrelated. Something more about crowds would work well.

This phtograph really works. The yellow shirt pull the eye to the girl. Her direct engagement with the camera is great. It is a natural and alluring shot. The fact that she is attractive ony helps. The framing is excellent. Very good.

I love this photo, it reminds me of a movie still. It is very rare that a "normal" photo draws my eye in but this one did. Very nice!!

I think that the yellow shirt really stands out in the picture. It is a big contrast to the surrounding color. The depth of field is also good. Nicely done.

I really like this photo. I can't believe the quality of light is so good in the subway train(?). This is a daring shot and I give you props for it.

It amuses me to no end that this is one of the "most viewed" photos. Gee, I wonder why? ;)
