Nice photo Luc. Love the detail you were able to achieve using such a slow shutter. Boat, bridge, and reflection adds but the church is very nice.

Luc, this is a very nice shot; great detail and depth of field. A couple of suggestions -- if possible, take this a little earlier in the evening, during the blue hour while there is still a little light in the sky -- it think having a little blue in the sky enhances night shots and you don't need to leave your shutter open as long, This reduces the star effect on the lights. I would also correct the barrel distortion on the right side -- the building leans in. In Photoshop create a new layer -- Edit>Tranform>Perspective (pull the little handles to correct the image). -- Autumn Sky

Very nice picture for 8 sec. exposure. You were also very lucky to have a very smooth water, so the boat came out sharp too.

Beautiful night scene pic. I love the lighting of building is beautiful. Composition of pic is simple and have a main theme already. However, I think the sky is too dark, you had better take this pic earlier so the sky is not too dark. Anyway, this is a good job already.

I think if you correct the church you make the right side fall left. Would not work. I like this shot. The light on the bridge did not bother me. The street light flare is too bad, I wish I knew how to reduce that myself. Maybe under expose and bump it up later? I dunno...it does not bother me that much that I would even worry about it. I'de frame it in my house. Good job.

That is one bright light on the bridge, too bright really. It destroys the serenity of your shot and the warm, mellow glow of the cathedral. The streetlight is not helping your cause either. 8 seconds seems way too long of an exposure to me. It could have been a nice shot otherwise, maybe crop a little tighter to the left and correct the right tilt on the church.

Using a 28 mm photographing to the sky you always have not a right tilt of buildings.
