Great Shot....Only thing that keeps it from a 3tu is her right eye. Her iris intersecting her nose makes her look crosseyed. Turn here head ever so slightly to the left and shot a little white and you are there.

I like this portrait very much, especially the eyes and the lip with a gentle smile. This protrait gives me an impression that the model is thinking of something. Will removal the red in her left eye make this portrait more perfect? Anyway three thumbs!

Michael, as everyone else have said, this is an extraordinary portrait - like all your portraits. However, I can't stop looking at and wondering about her hair that is hanging down under her face. To me it looks like you have pasted an area of fur there. It looks more and more strange the more I look at it and I can't stop looking at that part of the picture. Very nice high-quality portrait. Your slight gaussian is a nice touch in the right areas allowing the fine details to show where you want them to. I'm quite impressed with the high resolution obtainable with the S2 and just recieved mine yesterday with the lens to follow next week.(can't stand the waiting!!!) I'd be curious to know just what image quality settings you use for work like this.

Well, well, a gorgeous portrait of an absolute beautiful model. The visagist did a really great job, too, what is absolutely needed for this kind of portraiture and the more so if you fill the frame completely with the face like you done so wonderfull here. Well, you wrote that you have applied hint of blur to the photo so a very tiny part of the visagist's work is on your side also. At the same time this blur in the highlights supports your model's gentle look and delicate features. The pose and expression makes the viewer simply melt away and the eye contact is very fine. I agree with some of the critiques mentioning the corners of her eyes so exposed through the angle of her view but I see no easy way around this since you would lose the fine eye contact which is very pleasing. Lighting is perfect and I like the natural framing with her hair. Nice detail is a bit of her arm running nicely blurred through the lower left corner - lightening up the corner and giving a little counterbalance to the bright face. Maybe this corner would have been too dark and empty if you would have excluded this part.

Too sharp! We humans don't see like cameras and film. We see outlines, then our brains fill in what is needed. "Brain fill" is like we all know this beautiful woman has another ear and so our minds tell us it's all right that we can't actually see it. The same for sharpness. Such detail might be flattering to this gorgeous woman today... but not in five years when the collegen is less pliable and the wrinkles begin. We sinply don't "see" like this.
At the same, this shot needs to be in your portfolio if you ever go to New York or any fashion center looking to set up shop. This is an absolutley perfect...

I think this is a beautiful portrait. What is even more impressive is the level of detail especially when you consider that the FinePix S2 Pro is a digital camera. It is Fuji's top of the line digital and costs about $2500 so I thought it would be good but not this good. Man she really is beautiful. The more I look at her the more beautiful she appears!

This is an obviously beautiful portrait. The detail is incredible. Everyone else has told you how beautiful it is and I concur. Now how to improve. There is one thing, the red in her left eye is quite distracting, if she had looked away from the lens that would not be so prominent. The only thing is that then we would loose that interaction. Maybe softening or muting the red on her inner eye, no so much to make it look unnatural perhaps. I also think that the framing could be a little smaller. It's nice to have her name on it but after all it is the portrait that speaks volumes. Since there are no partial points I give you a 2.90.

In the lower left corner, there is a part of her arm (I think) that is a little distracting, but overall I think this shot is excellent - excellent detail, lighting is good, great expression too
