This is a fisheye photo of the aft deck of the Pacific Princess, also known as the Love Boat. I'm curious what people think of it. I think that it's interesting in that it's not a landscape photo yet could have been taken anytime in the last 30 years. I shot this on Kodak T-Max 100 with my Bronica SQ-Ai, handheld and meterless, using sunny f/16. (No stroke of genius here since I was in the middle of the ocean on a cloudless day.)

Overall it's a pretty good photo, and the fish eye view combined with the B&W tones have given a nice pleasing effect, but I find most of the scene entirely too busy.(Just my opinion)I think that if perhaps the people were a little less active, the focus would have placed more on the unique shape of the horizon and it's contrast with the shape of the vessel. Just my 2 cents worth

It does not look like a typical Fisheyefoto. But I like it that not everything is distorted ,only the edge. The lamps promote the dynamic. I like that it is black am white. Greeting JP

The fisheye adds to the photo, I think. I, too, find it interesting, and would be proud if it were mine. I like the perspective, and the composition. Very nice.

very good B&W tones and focus. I would have tried to take it from the center so both side are balanced and the ships wake was in the center. The overhead wire distracts for me. A sunset or rise or a few more clouds would add too.

I like it for several reasons: good B&W tonal range, good fish eye usage and interesting scene.

The focus comes down to the large man (this lens makes him larger). A large (American?) eating the world... You should call this shot eating the world... LOL

My wife and I have done a few cruises and this captures it well, I like the fish-eye effect. If I show her this one she will be booking the next. mmmm

I love how, top to bottom, your eye follows that weirdo wire thing down to the stern, then your eye follows the wake of the boat to the horizon, which draws your gaze back to the left of the frame, the umbrella and then finally that fat dude who's making his move toward the 24hr all-u-can-eat buffett. You rock.

I do like this Willis. However it is for an interest / fun shot though as there is no focal point.

I love this shot and think that three thumbs up fits it perfectly. I love the view that a fisheye can give you, its too bad that cost so much! Anyhow, its both extremely sharp and contrasty. The curved lines of the boat, wires, and horizon blend well. My only gripe is that I wasn't on the boat basking in the sun.

Technically perfect. It's a very nice photo, I'm just not a fan of fisheye lenses, they kind of make me motion sick when viewing prints and especially when looking through the viewfinder.
