I like this tipe of photos, but i think you could eliminate those panels(i do not know the name for that)in the superior right side. I would try another prespective.

Very good use of line and texture. The lighting is great, you really have captured the warmth. I like this kind of abstract photography.
My only criticism is the boulders take away the viewer's attention, unfortunately cropping cannot save you there. A good capture none the less. Well done.

I like jazz, too, Paulo. There is a strong connection between photography and music, as noted by many writers and critics. This is a very strong and visually exciting image. you have handled the backlighting well.

Very nice geometrical theme, and perfect composition. I don't think I would remove anything either. Light is also more than adequate, and the only comment I'd dare make is about that small flash-like reflection on one of the rails, that is a bit too eye-catching. Nothing too important to detract from an excellent photo in any case.

This is an excellent photo... Railway shots are some of my personal favorites! You selected a GREAT angle for this image. I love the way the sun is lighting up the rails and creating that extra touch of contrast for your photo. I would not crop out the columns and shadows either... It's not hurting your image here at all... great shot! The King Stands Alone is my latest black and white project if you would like to take a look :)

Nice tones, good exposure. The focus is poor because it does not hold my eye in the image. As it stands you have an eye grabbing shot whose focus mixed with the leading lines leads my eyes out of the shot. Flip the shot around 180 degrees and note how your eyes are pulled up and to the right and then out of the frame. If you had instead placed the focus in the center of the frame, then you would have held the eye better IMO. This shot is good enought that 1TD is inappropriate, hence 2TD to let you know I was disappointed during an attempt at extended viewing.

I agree the bollards really add to the picture. The textures and lines are superb, but it is the golden tone against the cold steel that really makes this picture work.

The bollards (not columns) are actually perfectly placed, in that their shadows only exactly reach the rails and give that corner texture and a contextual boundary. You could crop to the top of the rightmost one and still preserve the central masonry piece upper left, but even that's not necessary. The rest is consummate perfection, the golden rail reflections exactly correctly exposed, the texture on the ground just right. Excellent, excellent image!

Yes, it is a pity about the columns. You must really have been annoyed with yourself (as we all, I'm sure, often are) for not having changed the angle just a tiny bit when taking the photo to crop them out at the shoot. But then, I can't see what is on the left.
