Simplicity is a beautiful concept. I love the blue gradient you have in the sky with this photo.. I also appreciate the perfectly level horizon. The placement of the tree on the left side of this image works very well.. congrats on a GREAT photo! The King Stands Alone is my latest black and white project if you would like to take a look :)

Your work moves me. Just seeing how completely vast the land is, and seeing how the shadow goes on seemingly forever, makes me want to cry. Mainly because it says to me, even though we walk seemingly for miles in cold lonely places, life can strive, and you know someday life will flourish in the spring time

A classic composition well executed. I think it would be nice to see a touch more highlight detail in the snow bringing the tree closer to a silhoette. Photoshop could also probably do it without losing the shadow detail.
