Nice poster art!
The blue colors and the black rock are perfect. I realy like the overexposed parts of the water too.
But I don't like the PS stuff. Sorry. Get rid of the boat and the light rays, or make it better. Ruins the picture for me.

Yes, what a wonderful image it would be *without the boat*. It sticks out like a sore thumb, is impossibly large, and has no reflection or wake. The image would be a 3 without it.

Non so come giudicare una foto come questa... Secondo me è abbastanza "effettata": barca aggiunta, raggi (quantomeno) esaltati da (forse) un'altro cielo... e questo è da apprezzare, ma per il lavoro di fotoritocco (secondo me) più che dello scatto in sè stesso. Il risultato è comunque molto "epico"!

LOOKS like a fake ! Boat is terrible, its like cutted from paper or something. And Water is overexposed badly. Sky is like painted with watercolors, is this photo at all ? sorry but this is my opinion, and I want to be honest. Too much ps. You can really do it better ! Colors are good. (and peoples who give me -1 thumbs (not useful) I dont really understand you, Because this critic is usefull, I have looked his other works and he can really do it better) And Vinicio why you do what you do to me HEY cant you handle critique ?! The visualization of sunrays seems to become your specialty! Again this is a wonderful piece of photography and PS! The use of color; the position of the rocks and the sailing vessel in the reflection of the water. Minor detail: the vessel seems to float in the air in stead of the water. My compliments for another very nice picture!

A good scenic ruined by bad PS. Why bother pasting the boat? It is quite obviously not a part of the original picture, and I really don't think it adds that much to the scene you captured. Also, I have a hard time giving 3T to an image so heavily filtered. If it is all one tone, it might as well be black and white. Then you could have at least used a color filter to alter the contrast. The composition is good but the filtering and pasting lessen the impact for me.

Took a look because of the wonderful sky. And the sky is excellent - great blues, great range of tones, and everything else that's needed. The digital art that is the rest of the image is lovely, but not quite right. The boat is too sharp, making it stand out unnaturally, and the silhouettes (especially the front left corner) are a little too gray instead of darker, which would render the contrast a little more natural. So, for improvments, I'd suggest just a little tweak to the contrast in the land forms, and I'm honestly not sure what to say about the boat. But that sky is cool. Enjoy.

Great composition. I don't know about all the Reggie's math calculation... but I like this picture/painting and that is enough for me. I'm against changing so much the picture that you cannot see anumore that it was a picture. In this case, if it's not a picture, is a good substitute. Bravo Vinicio (P.S. I like your photo montage ideas, Vinicio. They are clearly popular with photosiggers.
I did some research, though. According to www.planetmountain.com, this rock is 120m high. That makes the boat about 40m or so. (27pixels/87pixels * 120m) Hmmm. I think you need to do some recalculations!
Secondly, I can't quite figure why the rays of light don't fit with the spots of light on the sea. Some of the rays to the right of the rock don't lead anywhere. I don't know any physical way of stopping the sun like this.
The photo of the rock was probably taken with quite a wide angle lens. I'm not sure that the sky was taken with the same lens, but you're stretching my mathematical abilities here.
These photoshop compositions are very attractive, Vinicio. What you challenge, though, is a deeply programmed belief that "a photo never lies," and "seeing is believing." I'm still puzzling over the psychology of the 3TD that someone has given you just because they considered this "artwork." I prefer to think of it as a "work of art," hence the two thumbs - more work needed!

very eyecatching sunlit and shade effect, personally I think it lacks some contrast, the dark areas are a bit flattened, the highlight areas have burnt out some, some sharpness could have been applied to the sea areas... the boat doesnt seem quite right somehow, was that added? It looks like it ought to have a shadow and reflection, but theres not a hint :)

NIce shot! The blue color realy enhances the mood however, the image would be even better had you left out the boat. The boat needs a shadow and if you compare the boat size with the rock, well, that's one HUGE boat :) Nice work!

This is a shot that can't be perfect, because the light rays are a fleeting hapenning that come and go as they please and don't wait for the photographer. The use of blue just enhances the shades of light, I guess the not filtered image would also be a potential winner. What makes me think twice is the boat: it gives a nice touch to the picture, but was it really there or did you PS it into? I've nothing against it, but I guess sometimes it's good to know of far we're retouching the photos. Anyway, I like the shot, it's moody.

Cool stuff here. The blue filter really works well in this. I have never tried such a thing but I think I will now. I also like how the rays are caught coming down. Thanks for sharing the tecnique and the photo.
