This has an interesting mood. Just a few little touches: (1) don't clip off the top of the subject, it looks odd; (2) simplify the photo as much as possible to draw attention to the subject (in this case, those little saplings in front could either be avoided, or, if that's not possible, blur them out of recognition); (3) if possible, place the main subject on a line one-third of the way into the picture (1/3 from top/bottom or 1/3 from left/right) - this is the famous rule of thirds, and creates more dynamic pictures. Also, take lots and lots of shots of your subject, from different vantage points and with different aims - close-up of the bark, looking straight up into the branches, etc etc. You have a poetic eye.

Intersting photo, I like the idea. Perhaps would be better as a vertical and it is underexposed, but that might have been what you were going for.

Maybe try vertical and put the tree more to the side to follow the rule of thirds. I am not one to follow it, but here I would. I do like the grey colors. Keep trying.

This subject has potential, but I think composition could be improved by placing the tree less centrally. A vertical format might work better - did you try it? The limited colours gives the image a moody atmosphere. Looks real cold.

good mood and quite an interesting image, my problem is with the composition: your main subject is dead centered and the shot loose some dynamics

Great mood. I love the subtle blue cast. To me, the composition could be improved some. As it is, it's kind of boring and doesn't really serve to draw my interest, plus the trees in the bottom half take away as the main subject tends to blend in. If the main tree could have been isolated somehow with the camera angle I think it would have been much better.
