This is another niece, shot at the back end of the studio away from the lights. So, non-flash light (which I don't do), on XP2 (which I don't do), on 35mm (which I rarely do), handheld (which I never do). So who says I don't experiment. Anyway, I like her eyes.

I tend to like portraits that cut off where technically they shouldn't. That's why I like this, it makes you focuson a particular part of the face, the choice of b& w also helps. I'd have preferred a more extreme angle maybe even 45 deg so the eyes are diagonal across the frame and the mouth included. But even as it is it's pretty good... It's nice to see something a bit different that still works.. Well done..

Chris I have to agree with the others here. Those eyes are really trying to tell us something. Perhaps better catch lights in the eyes as well because it makes it look like you have used several flash lights.

I too agree with Carole. I would like to see her mouth included. I don’t think it would work if you cropped out her nose.

I agree with Carole 100%. It's a nice shot, but either take out the nose or put in the mouth.

I like the idea of a close-up and of experimenting. Your exposure and everything else technical is right on, but the creative aspect--composition--is not appealing. I would have only gotten her eyes if you wanted a shot about eyes, but cropping it just under her nose makes it look visually uncomfortable...
