Carlos - your English may need a little work, but your photography is second to none - excellently seen and captured! Wonderful crop and composition. What a powerful image - love the play of light and shadow on the sand and fence, creating irregularities between the fence and its shadow. S-curve in the fence's shape is very effective. Sharpness and graininess of the sand is wonderful.

What can I say ? Perfect light that gives a great texture to the ground and magic shadows. I agree with one comment that says that by zooming out (depending on what is around) could give a better feel of the nice S curve.

hells bells, it does not have to be perfect to be a great shot, and this is a extreamly good shot. The simplicity of the curves and the light casting shadows that occur as a result make this a wonderful piece.

O inglês está um bocado "all your base are belong to us" mas a foto está bem ao estilo que me lembro do Foto@pt. Este site também já está a dar problemas? The simple lines and handful of clear texture of this one really work. It's a creative composition, too. My only quibble is with the thick border - it drowns the photo, I think.

Impressive image, I think your composition may have been improved by changing the angle of view so you could compose the shot with the fence running from corner to corner in the frame, but saying that this is still a very good photo expecially with the inclusion of the shadows. Great work.

Carlos - this one is very good. A superb study of light, texture and form. The elements of this scene are simple, but light is everything, and the whole is very fluid. I like it a lot - very nice presentation too. Excellent work. This might work very well in B&W too, perhaps toned. Simon.

É pá, isto está difícil hoje... tenho andado um pouco a leste das suas fotos e do site, mas logo hoje apanho com esta sua cerca, duma qualidade invejável, mas com alguma desilusão na escrita...e de repente vejo outra do Vitor que nos tinha abandonado tambem desiludido( felizmente voltou! ). Quer-me parecer que este site por vezes se transforma numa fábrica de invejas de uns "professores de fotografia" que gostariam de ter a sensibilidade e a classe de alguns ( poucos )... Como eu estou cá para mostrar algumas coisas que me deram gozo fazer, mas acima de tudo para aprender, gostaria que como já disse ao Vitor continuasse a mandar os seus excelentes trabalhos e a permitir que os compartilhemos. Almost perfect! The composition, the light, the exposure is all firrst rate. The nly flaw is the shadow in the sand in the upper right hand corner, it is distracting... maybe you could have shifted your composition slightly to eliminate this dark area?? It is a 2.75/3 for me....

Hi Zé Carlos! This is a great shot! The tone as well as the mood you have captured are really fantastic. Well, purely personal taste though, I wonder by zooming out a little and composed the fence more diagonally would give you a stronger image? That way too you would be able to reveal the shadows more and would make the elegant "S" composition more prominant. It is a tad too tight at the top for my taste. Well, my opinion expressed are purely my own, this is nevertheless a very good shot. Keep up the good work!
