This is probably the hardest shot I took of a bird. It was shot in almost total darkness (hence little noise), with a full digital zoom and a 1,6 sec exposure time at f:2.4. The blue comes from the water. The is very little done in PS (crop) because I didn't want to add noise.

it's a great job regarding the low light & slow shutter speed that you have to use.

I like the almost "other-worldly" look of this. The explanation really helped us in understanding the reason for the appearance of this photo. This is a good example of a photo that isn't perfect, but still works as an image.
