I captured some birds enjoying the sunset with me this day. I thought the birds silhouette's against the dynamic sky looked nice. This was shot with my Olympus OM-D E-M5 scene settings for "Sunset" as I metered off the sky. I could post process and show more of the birds and their detail, but I enjoyed the silhouette. I was there for the sunset, not the avians :) Hope you enjoy it.

Hi W, the pic attracts at first glance congrats!, and continues to hold your attention.. so far so good. However, one cannot help commenting on the potential of the photo which has all the features for a fantastic sunset; if you'd worked on the frame, like eliminate that dense dark shapeless object in the foreground (contours are what make silhouttes) perhaps we'd have gotten a sharper silhoutte of the reeds, birds against the highlights of the different hues of sunset ? happy clicking, digipixelite.

While i really like the colours here (I have a thing for sun set photography), i think the silhouettes don't stan out enough. the centre seagulls do not stand out immediately and take a bit of finding. I was also completely unaware of the flying seagull to the right until I read the other critique. While I think the potential was there, I think the foreground needs a bit of work to create a stunning photograph.

Hello W! The sky realy looks dramatic. I like this moment of sunset. It's evident that your attention and focus was at the sunset. Regarding the birds, I think you have too much silhouettes that merges with each other and the result is too much black spots without details. Yet you have a seagull in flight in the right of the photo that looks good. Thanks for sharing.
