Hi Lorne, Very nice colours. I like the crop and out of focus background. A lot of detail around the eye but not so much on the feathers. Don't know why because your aperture was not that small. TFS. Seppie

Thanks Seppie...good critique...not sure if it was the re-size that potentially messed it up but it could be the crop as well...take care.

Good bird's "portrait", good natural colors, but one would like to see more details on feathers. Looks like a little smearing in some places.

Nice headshot man!
Good detail and color here and the comp is good. You might want to fiddle with the shadows a little but other than that, good stuff man!

A faster shutter speed and a higher ISO may have made for a sharper photo. That is one of the things in avian photos most people like to see, sharp bird, with lots of detail in the plumage and eye. Beautiful bird!
