For me there is far too much concentration on the graffiti space, I understand the love for shooting in a graffiti lush locations and some graffiti is awesome but when shooting a portrait in these places I feel you must always remember that we want to look at the subject. If the graffiti is the main subject, then it is not really saying that much.. If the girl is the subject... then show us, really make us look. I want to be caught in a portrait never to return, she is far too distant to do this at the moment. Try bringing the girl a little closer to the viewers attention and your sorted
Unless you're a landscape photographer, backgrounds are just a tool to isolate the people

I agree - her left hand is a bit awkward and lit such that it draws too much attention. But, I like the balance you've struck with the model in the FG and the grafitti in the BG. I also like how her hair is backlit - adds dimension to her in the image. And, good placement of the right hand and I for one do like her posture. I think it is fitting for this type of image. the whole image appears to be a bit warm - at least on my monitor. Regards.

Usually I would say that she needs to be more towards the center, on the third instead of so far to the right, but I see what you're going for here, so we'll leave the placement of the girl alone. (although the fact that I bring it up is probably an indicator that it's not natural) However, having said that, with so much space devoted to the graffiti, it begs to wonder what the subject of the photo is and if the subject is the graffiti, it needs to be in focus, which it is not. Overall, I think the photo needs a little more contrast and on a separate note, I really wonder about the inclusion of the "Jew" in the graffiti/photo is for? Did you even realize it was there? Or are you trying to say something about the model? It could possibly be construed as offensive. And lastly I have to wonder about her pose. She's kind of leaning back, which is giving her a nice angle, but her body posture seems to be slouching. And the forward arm probably isn't the most flattering. Some would say that the arm is seemingly coming out of nowhere. I think the shadows on the hand seem to give it a bit more contrast that seems to be lacking in the rest of the photo (the blacks need to be darkened) so it draws the eye to her hand.

Thank you very much for your very constructive comments ... as for the piece of 'graffiti', I don't think it's 'Jew' but 'crew', as anyway this was shot on a French location ... 'Crew' must be the name of some band ...

And if it said Jew; what's the problem with that? This is photography and the author is expressing his model with a BG of his or their choosing. I'm assuming the photog did not paint the BG. I like folks of all persuasions and don't really care about this political correct stuff. If someone is that easily offended, perhaps they should look elsewhere.

cool one .. like the things u have put into the frame with the subject (model). nice pose and a good expression suits the background . nice lighting and love the way u have cornered the model and gave space to the background to fill in.
