Hi Areej - beautiful flowers! However I think the shot could be improved in two ways: first, cropping out the left hand side - the flowers there are blurred and do not contribute to the shot imho. Second, because the shot is taken in direct sunlight, some of the areas are blown out. In my experience I have found that shots like this one are no friend of direct sunlight. Of course, if there are no clouds around, there is nothing you can do about this apart from using a diffuser of some sort. Apparently a white plastic bag will do the trick if you do not have one handy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your insight! I did do some cropping at the left side already, but I figured, taking it out completely would leave the photo oddly cropped. As for the lighting, it was more like backlighting than direct sunlight, and although it does leave some areas blown out, I feel it gives the flowers the image of glowing, which I really like. I quite enjoy playing with backlighting when shooting flowers.
