Pose of this bird is well captured here, Joe. However sharpness on bird's body looks soft and it is a pity. Use faster shutter speed will help you here with get better sharpnes here. Beside bird's beak is situated very close to the left frame. Regards, Michal.

Did you use a speed light on the shooting Joe? The shadow of the bird on the tree behind it distracts a bit. Focus seems a bit off, may try some sharpening after the photo is downsized for Psig submission. Composition wise, it would be nicer if the photo is framed in landscape, so that it would not be so tight on the side whilst there is too much excessive space on top and bottom. Keep on shooting Joe.

Yes, I used a speedlite set on highspeed sync. to get past the canon sync. @ 1/200 sec.,and yes I lost alot of the sharpness downsizing from 28 meg to 360 k. I also used manual metering with the camera shut down two stops to darken the background. I will work on the mistakes for a re-post. Thanks for your help Edwin.
