A lot to like here. The swoop of the walkway and railing, the excellent cloudy sky, the sweep of the grasses. I don't mind the slight tilt at all. In this shape, the lighthouse does feel a little too far right to me. I can't help but see this as a panoramic crop, though, and I find it very effective in that shape, retaining all of those elements that I mentioned above, and sacrificing only some area that seems unnecessary to me - the top-most cloud layer and a little foreground.

With the blues floating around that day, the grasses (the land area overall, actually) feel a little cool in color to me. A very slight warming there brings the grasses up a bit, brings out the reds in the walkway, and ties those reds to the lighthouse visually. To my eye, this feels like an improvement, but your mileage may vary. Lastly, the sky might be a touch overexposed - maybe a small highlight adjustment in raw helps there, but that is a minor nit.

Nice components work well together for a good photo. Lighthouse, path, grass, sky and person all combine for a nice scene. Lighthouse is a little tilted and a little too close to the right side. I would like to see a little more space there. Good image.

Thanks, your right about the tilted lighthouse, see reply on John's critique. I am not sure of I cropped some space of the right of the frame. If so, I will check if not cropping would make it a better picture.

I've checked, and there no cropping done whatsoever...This is the initial composition I had in mind.

Really quite a nice landscape photo. Cool sky and grass with the lighthouse giving enough warm to not leave photo with no warmth. The way the sidewalk goes to a vanishing point traps you eye into a welcoming scene. Your clouds are well done and I'm assuming that you did a little work to make them show up looking so good. Another nice touch is the human 2/3rds into the image giving us a very nice sense of scale. 2 little things bother me a bit. I have the feeling the image is titled just a little which could be an optical illusion because of the slight lean of the light house which could also be result of your lens. It could be straightened easily in a decent editor. The photo maybe not be quite as crisp as it might have been. My thought is that your focus was a little shallow.

A helpful thing about your photo is that it is big enough to see and formulate informed thoughts about what we see.

Thanks for your critique John. I am kind of fond of this picture, had it as a background for my PC for a while (must be reminding me of the old Windows XP desktop background) and it gives me a feeling of being outside, feeling the wind in your face...Had my doubts though about uploading this, because I know some people would find it boring. I actually did not enhanche the clouds here; A little brightness/contrast adjustment and some color enhanchement (blues & greens) but that's it. I seem to have a blind spot for tilted images, as quit a few of my uploaded photos have this issue. I am already trying to keep an extra eye for this...
