I like to out of focus background and general composition. I believe this photo could be improved by lowering the camera and angling it up slightly to move the flowers higher up the photo. The leaves in front of the flowers could be bent out the way of torn of the keep them out of the photo

Great suggestion Stephen. Would this not eliminate the stream behind the main subject?

I like the color combination between the flowers and the grass. The focus and lighting are also good. IMO the frame is dominated, however, by the large OOF background which covers the top half of the frame and doesn't add anything of interest. The stream also cuts the frame in half and creates symmetry. Consider cropping down to the brown edge of the bank to relieve both effects. TFS, Nick

Thanks Nicholas for your interest in my photograph. Yes, cropping down to the brown edge of the bank would create a much more interesting effect. I will reflect upon your suggestions.
