Hello Mehrdad
I liked the colour version, but I do like this one as well. This desaturated one elimintates the green colour cast I saw in the original, but in the one I experimented with I did not make the B&W portion quite as dark as yours is here. Perhaps some of the lighting patterns may not show as well as I thought they would. I notice that you have omitted your frame, which was rather smart, but there is an improvement in the cropping at the top - previously the two chrome light fitthings? had been intersected, here they show better.
Thanks for sharing this experiment. Regards. Steve

Dear Steve, thank you very much. All you said are right. I was a bit careless to pay to the light and border, focused on selective color processing. It would be much better, doing other post processing which I did to the color version too. Seems I become humble again! ;) Cheers, Mehrdad

Mehrdad, high quality image but could be better Technicals could be improved with a bit more tonal range to capture shadow detail in the potted plants in front of the columns. Composition could be improved if you cropped out the window on the right side. These are just my suggestions but still a picture I wish I took :-) Well done. JimT

As a fan of selective coloring, think you hit the jackpot here. My Sony A-55 does selective coloring automatically and it works most of the time. Don't know if you accomplished this via Photo Shop or did your camera firmware do it? This certainly draws attention to the auto main subject.

Dear George, thank you for your kind critique. Actually my old Panasonic gear does not have such a feature, so I did it later in Photo Shop. Anyway, I am glad you like it. Best Regards, Mehrdad
