sad to see the capabilities of mans destruction. I would love to show case a series of these images next to the images of natures beauty.

Aimee, this should be under documentary. As was suggested in previous critiques you should have stated something about the scene. If you take an image through a window it is recommended you use a polarizer in order to reduce the glare and crop out the window frame. A thin sheet of polarizing filter can do the trick you will see the effect on your phone. Thanks for sharing. -G

The Instagram effect is no help here. Photo needs more contrast to bring out the smoke. You labeled this a snapshot and that is what it is, and it is the only reason for not going 1TD on the photo. Would love to know more about the background; what country, and any detail you may have about the fire. Without more context, this photo has no chance of standing on its own. You mention Beirut in 1980 and that's it.
The outlines of the windows is a clear negative, but then, it may be a positive because on the one hand the photo is clearly about chaos and destruction, and the vantage point of the photo is traveler rushing on by in a train, presumably. Might play with the crop a little.

well photos in Beirut in 1980 look a bit like that. i just wanted to reflect on the chaos in my country, where not only war is happening almost every day of the year, but sad things like this old building caught on fire. we still are not sure about what happened, we dont know if the fire was intended or not.
Beirut is in Lebanon..
ill try adding more details later.
thank you for rating and for your critique

The photo would have been alright if you hadn't taken it from a window. The window frame is a huge distraction, it doesn't look professional whatsoever. Also, the photo has a glare and a reflection in it -because you took it from a window. While the idea is nice, the photo is ruined with how you chose to take it.

im sorry but i disagree with you, in my opinion the window frame makes the photo more dynamic than it already is.
however i do agree with the glare and reflection, again that was a snapshot in a moving bus...i never said it was professional.
just wanted to share the chaos of my country :)
