A piece of chance you had not a lot of tourists. I love this church. Good composition, POV and choice of black and white.

The Taos Pueblo is one of my favorite plac es to shoot. This is a well chosen angle. I can ofter be a challenge shooting with all the tourists roaming around. The B&W conversion is spot on. Very nice shadows and the tone of the sky is terrific. The tonal range overall is on the mark. I like that you left the shadows. So often people want to expose everything using HDR. Shadows add mystery and depth. Well done.

Tom this is great. Captured the luminosity in the crosses perfectly..held the detail in the towers and shadows just right and held a suburb tonality on the front facade.
And for me the composition works too...everything leads the eye up to the towers and crosses. Yeah maybe show the entire church from the foundation up...but I don't think that was your intent and what your showing here works. Your best Taos posting yet. This is impressive. Thanks for sharing this one!

What a beautiful blend of greys! You manage BW in excellent way (I guess this is a split channel work with substantial darkening of the blue) and overall result i brilliant. It's a pity you had such close frame - a bit further (or zoomed out) would give a little more room for the portal, emphasizing strength of the light itself. Then again, I might be wrong... However, your BW technique is stellar, I can see from your portfolio. Keep 'em coming in to our viewing pleasure!
