From a traditional portrait standpoint, the pose could have been better. But, maybe that's what you and the model were trying to convey- defensiveness! She looks like she's ready to run away. The fleshtone is quite different and doesn't offend me. The total image is a delight!

In my eyes you went way overboard with your treatment in two ways - the HDR has caused a flatness (especially on er upper body) that feels contradictory with the strongly accentuating shadows, and the skin toning makes the model remind of the dead James Bond lover in the "Goldfinger" movie. Aside from that I feel the model's pose somewhat unfortunate with her right arm hidden and her overall tense expression. Regards, U.

Quite interesting. Leaving much to ponder. My first reaction is to elements that make the photo look stressed and unnatural. This includes skin tones, expression, posture, cropping and the predominance of neutral colors. The model's squinting stare makes her appear unapproachable. Perhaps the photographer had encroached too directly upon her space. Her rigid posture seems frozen, as if she has stopped breathing. The fingers of her hand seem tense. The photo seems begging for a contrasting color. The colors that first draw the eyes are the blue, because they are slightly different. But they too are neutral. The other colors seem muted. The bronze on the legs seems unnatural. There is a slight dissonance in that the cracks between the boards lean one way. She leans slightly the other way. The cropping is also a little off. A little too much space on the photo's right. Not enough on the left. One wonders. Is all this intentional on the part of the photographer?

When I thought about the score, I realized how much I like a good challenge. This photo challenged my thinking. Are my points negatives, or do they point out intentional hoaxes? Comedians create humor with play on words. Is this the photographer playing with his viewers by breaking little rules here and there? I don't know. I just enjoyed the process of trying to find a positive angle from which to critique this photo.

She looks odd, and I suspect it's your fault rather than hers. Her legs look cartoon-like. She also has a kind of glow all around her outline. I suspect you have used some kind of HDR and it has not done her any favours.
